May 28 20132013-05-28May 01 20122012-05-01A photograph of a stage ceremony in front of a backdrop showing a painted temple gopuram and a deity murti. A standing man with long dark hair wears an orange-saffron cloth and a long garland of yellow and white flowers, with a probable Swamiji candidate presented in an ornate gold-and-red throne behind him; he is distinguished by his long swept-back hair and saffron garments. Beside him a shaved-headed priest in orange dhoti and orange shawl with a sacred thread stands near a second orange-clad attendant. A man in white shirt and dhoti and a uniformed man hold a tray or package at left. On the right, women sit on the floor, one in a white sari with yellow border. Ornate gold trays with flowers and sweets sit before the throne on a patterned red carpet, and a microphone stands at the lower left. Dark blue curtains frame the stage.2010-09-18April 27 20122012-04-27A padapuja ceremony in an indoor hall with a large temple backdrop showing a deity murti and stone pillars, with colourful painted banners hanging at the sides. A bare-chested priest in saffron dhoti and orange shawl stands at left, raising one arm and pouring from a vessel over the head of a seated figure in an orange robe wearing a long, multicoloured flower garland. The seated figure sits on a gold-framed throne with red cushions. Gold trays holding flowers and offerings sit on the carpet in front. A man in a white shirt and dhoti holds packets, a man in khaki uniform stands nearby, and women in white and yellow sit on the right side of the hall, with microphones and a camera operator in the foreground.2010-09-18May 28 20132013-05-28May 28 20132013-05-28March 02 20132013-03-02A photograph of a ceremonial stage at a Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam event. An elderly man in orange robes and a saffron shawl sits on a gold lion-armed throne with red cushions, while a yellow silk cloth with gold border is draped over his lap by a younger man in white shirt and dark trousers. Beside him, a figure in a red-and-gold dhoti and shawl, wearing a black headpiece, a heavy gold-beaded necklace and a large pendant, gestures toward the seated man. A bare-chested attendant in white with a gold-bordered cloth faces away in the foreground. Gold lion sculptures, a brass lamp and floral garlands decorate the ornate temple-style backdrop.2016-01-03A man in orange robes sits on an ornate golden throne with lion-head armrests, wearing a white floral garland with red flowers and a rudraksha-style bead necklace, bracelets on his arms, and a flower crown, smiling. A man in a white shirt and dark trousers bows low and touches his feet on a patterned red carpet. To the left, a man in a white shirt holds a red cloth, and a bald man in orange dhoti and shawl stands with palms pressed together. Behind them, painted colourful pillars and deity murti figures with a trident and a golden kalasha-like ornament frame the stage. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure in orange with long swept-back hair, crown-like flower headdress, rudraksha beads and gold-trimmed throne matches the page's event, so the identity is appearance-based only.2012-05-01 +2 copiesMay 28 20132013-05-28August 15 20102010-08-15
