A dusty dirt-road procession moves past a low concrete wall with banana plants and a tiled roof behind it. At the centre, a red Mahindra-style tractor pulls a decorated palanquin topped with a multicoloured umbrella canopy and garlanded with flowers; a man in a white dhoti and shirt drives the tractor. Behind the palanquin, a figure in saffron robes stands on the platform and a person in white sits near a white fan, while a white-clad attendant holds a long fan. Many men and women in white dhotis, saris and kurtas carry red and orange flags and placards. A large red banner reads 'Stop the Religious Persecution of Paramahamsa Nithyananda and his followers'. Several marchers wear round orange-and-white badges, and a few decorated umbrellas are held by people at the right. The crowd is dense, numbering well over twenty people.
