Several figures in saffron and orange robes walk with white-clad attendants; one saffron-robed man carries a tall staff and another holds a large ornate parasol with red, yellow and blue panels. Children in bright dresses and shirts line the road, and adults in white shirts, dhotis and lungis watch from the right. A banner reads in Kannada on a yellow-and-orange background. A central figure in a saffron-orange robe, with hands pressed together in greeting, wears a long white garland of flowers and walks beneath a large multicoloured ceremonial umbrella with a yellow canopy and fringed tassels. Several other ceremonial umbrellas are visible behind. Around him, men in white dhotis and saffron-orange shawls and women in white saris with orange shawls walk in the procession.
