Beside him, a man in red-brown dhoti and shawl with a gold-trimmed cloth and beaded necklace stands near a silver tray of offerings in foil dishes and fruit, while another attendant in red-brown garments leans in to help. Behind them, an orange-robed figure stands by a red-draped altar with flower garlands. Seated devotees in white and orange clothing and a bearded man in orange line the right side; a camera operator and onlookers appear in the foreground.2014-03-14Outdoors under shady trees, a shaven-headed attendant in orange and rust robes and gold-trimmed dhoti stands at left holding a tray of foil-wrapped food packets and sweets. Seated in a wooden chair on a patterned rug is a bearded elderly sadhu in orange robes with a small pair of glasses held in one hand. Beside him a second bearded elder in orange sits with hands folded. Behind them, a man in orange and another in rust robes stand near a silver-framed plaque and a red-and-gold cloth flag on a pole. Along a long row of low gold-patterned tables, monks and sannyasis in saffron and orange robes sit cross-legged before silver thali plates and steel tumblers. In the foreground on the left, women in yellow and pink saris carry trays and serve water and food. Several shaved-headed men in orange clothing sit in the right foreground, one wearing an orange turban. No person in the scene is clearly identified as a person from appearance, so the seated figures are described by role only.2016-05-06Photograph of an indoor ashram-style gathering with a group of devotees in rust-red and saffron-orange robes. In the foreground at right, a shaved-headed man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a shawl bends over a white-draped table, holding a palm of yellow prasad. Beside him, a woman in red sari with a mala presses prasad into a leaf plate, and a large silver bowl of yellow food sits on the table. At left, a seated attendant in an orange and red garment sits by a red-upholstered ornate throne with gold trim and a silver standing umbrella-pole, while behind them other devotees in red and orange robes stand and move about.2015-12-20Outdoor ritual photo on bare ground with grass patches. A seated man in orange-saffron robes and a white flower garland with a red-and-white strand sits center, hands folded, with a white tilak on his forehead. Beside him a shaved-headed man in orange and a rudraksha-style bead necklace kneels with palms joined. Around them, devotees in orange, red and white clothing stand and sit, some with bead malas. A tall rope-wrapped pillar rises behind, and a man in a grey cap and pink-checked shawl sits at right. In front lie offerings: a tray of apples and bananas, brass bowls, marigold garlands, an oil lamp and a conical stone or lingam-like object on a tiled platform. Several people are partly visible at the edges and in the background.2013-02-12A photograph of a ceremonial gathering in a temple courtyard with red and white striped walls. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing saffron-orange clothing and a dark rudraksha mala, sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne with eyes closed and hands folded. Around him, a group of devotees sit or kneel with hands in anjali: a man in white dhoti with a rudraksha mala and bare chest, a man in orange cloth, and several women in saris seated in front with their backs to the camera. Brass plates in front of them hold fruit, pink lotus flowers and offerings. Dhoti-clad and robed devotees sit in front of a darshan-style setting, with a gold-trimmed container beside the throne. The seated figure is an appearance-based probable candidate for Swamiji, with his long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha mala on a throne, and the page indicates his presence.2010-11-03October 31 20102010-10-31 +1 copiesSeptember 10 20152015-09-10A temple ritual photograph in which a priest in orange dhoti and shawl kneels at left, offering a brass plate of yellow and red marigold and rose petals.
