Indoor photograph of a kitchen-like room with red-trimmed walls and a red-tiled floor. Four men stand in an open doorway and nearby, all in saffron-orange sannyasi clothing. A bearded man in an orange turban and orange wrap stands at left in the doorway. A man with long, curly dark hair and a rudraksha mala wears an orange wrap and stands centre. At right, a man in an orange turban and orange wrap stands with his back partly turned. A man in a white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl stands with folded arms near a steel counter. A white refrigerator, a stainless steel sink and kitchen equipment fill the background. Four people are visible.2007-08-09November 11 20172017-11-11May 08 20122012-05-08A photograph of four men walking through a narrow corridor with pale green walls and a pink metal door behind them. The man at centre wears an orange-saffron cloth draped over his body, a black and white beaded mala, and a white horizontal tilak on his forehead; he has swept-back grey hair and his hand is raised toward the others. Beside him on the right, a man with a shaved head wears a red-and-gold dhoti, a red-brown garland and gold-coloured ceremonial necklace. On the left, a man in white dhoti with gold border and a red-brown garland stands beside a red-and-orange shoulder bag. Behind them a man in a red turban and gold-accented saffron cloth wears a gold pendant on a beaded chain. Appearance cues for the central figure are moderate: orange cloth, beaded mala and swept-back hair, though the page identifies the event and no printed name appears.2015-09-16A photograph inside a plain whitewashed storeroom with wooden shelving and orange curtains. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts stand in a line on the left, one with a gold ceremonial necklace and an orange shawl, several smiling. A central figure in an orange robe stands on the concrete floor, arm raised, smiling as he speaks. On the right, a man in an orange robe stands beside wooden cabinets holding a tray and folded cloth; a framed colourful picture hangs at the edge. Plastic bags and cardboard boxes sit on the floor and shelves.2011-08-10A photograph of a procession moving through a narrow, dimly lit temple corridor with ornate pillars and a colourful decorated ceiling. At the centre, a man in an orange-red shawl and dhoti, wearing a gold crown and a gold pendant on a beaded necklace, walks forward smiling; the visible cues are the crown, the saffron-coloured clothing and the ornate gold necklace, so he is a probable Swamiji. Around him, men in saffron-orange robes wear rudraksha malas, and a man in white dhoti with gold border and a red-beaded mala walks at left. Yellow and green hanging lamps frame the passage, and a wire mesh grille lines the right side. Overall this is a temple procession among devotees and sannyasis.2012-05-07A photograph of four men walking barefoot across a tiled temple corridor in orange saffron robes, with gold-bordered cloth draped over their shoulders. The man second from left has long swept-back dark hair, a vertical tilak on his forehead, layered rudraksha malas and a ceremonial gold necklace, and he is looking upward. Two shaved-headed men walk beside him in orange, one with white ash markings on his arms and a mala, and the man on the far right has white hair, a white headband, and several beaded malas. Behind them a crowd of men and boys in white dhotis and shirts stands in the background, and a dark wooden cabinet is visible on the right.2012-05-22January 27 20162016-01-27June 03 20162016-06-03Photo inside a long stone-pillared temple corridor with granite columns and glass display cases. A man in a rust-brown robe with a gold-coloured yellow-bordered shawl, a gold necklace with a large pendant, and a gold headband walks at centre, smiling. Around him, shaven-headed priests in saffron-orange robes with yellow borders walk and stand along the pillars, and a man in a white dhoti with a white shawl and rudraksha mala stands to the left. A monk in orange at right leans against a pillar wearing a rudraksha mala. The procession moves along a polished floor past display cases holding ritual objects.2012-05-07March 01 20182018-03-01June 21 20142014-06-21
