Photograph taken from ground level looking up at a tall, whitewashed gopuram (temple gateway tower) with ornate sculpted tiers, rising above a smaller colourful entrance mandapa and a dark doorway. A dense crowd of devotees fills the courtyard in front of the entrance; women wear saris in red, blue and light colours, and men wear white shirts. A tall lamp post and trees frame the scene under a grey evening sky. Painted sculptures decorate the adjacent brightly coloured tower on the left.2022-02-14February 17 20222022-02-17February 06 20172017-02-06February 06 20172017-02-06A tall, white-plastered gopuram (temple tower) of the Arunachaleshwara temple rises against a pale sky, its tiers densely carved with figures and niches.
