August 07 20172017-08-07Night-time ritual photograph of a bearded man seated on a gold-and-red throne, wearing a maroon-brown dhoti-style wrap, a heavy gold necklace and rudraksha-style beads, with fresh flower garlands and pink petals over his shoulders and a flower crown on his head. He extends his arm while a bare-chested devotee in white dhoti with orange-saffron cloth bends forward to receive a white and pink cord. Around them, several young men in saffron-orange cloths and rudraksha malas stand watching, one with a tilak, and a white pedestal fan and offering trays with fruit and flowers sit in the foreground. The posed appearance and ornate garments suggest a formal ritual reception rather than a casual gathering, though the seated man's face and identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2017-08-07August 07 20172017-08-07A photograph of a seated man on a red and gold throne receiving honour at an ashram event. He wears a maroon-brown dhoti and shawl, a gold necklace with a large pendant, and a heavy garland of white and pink flowers, with a pink floral crown on his head. Petals are scattered over the throne and the cushions. A shirtless man kneels before him holding pink flowers and a bundle of white ritual threads. Standing behind are several young men in saffron-orange cloth, some wearing rudraksha malas and sandalwood marks, plus a white Crompton pedestal fan.2017-08-07A photo of a ceremonial honouring at an ashram. Behind them stand men in white dhoti-style garments with yellow borders and cloth wraps. A golden throne-like canopy and a large arrangement of yellow, red and white flower garlands fill the background, with a gold deity figure visible above.2016-07-19A seated man in a rust-red robe and gold rudraksha-style necklaces with a large gold pendant sits on a gold-and-red throne, receiving a white flower garland being placed around his neck. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with white sacred ash on his forehead leans in to adorn him, while several young attendants with white and red markings stand behind. A red cushion and a standing fan are visible in the background.2017-08-07August 07 20172017-08-07August 07 20172017-08-07August 07 20172017-08-07August 07 20172017-08-07A photograph of a seated figure on a golden-cushioned throne draped with a red-orange shawl, wearing a long garland of pink and white flowers, rudraksha beads and gold chain, smiling as a devotee in an orange cloth bows and touches his feet on the floor.
