A photograph of a homa fire ritual in a temple hall with red floor covering and gold-framed niches. In the foreground a fire pit lined with yellow-patterned tiles holds burning wood, with a brass bowl and marigold garlands beside it. A priest seated at left wears a pink-red turban, white dhoti and gold beaded necklace, and a bare-chested priest seated at right wears a white dhoti, shawl and gold chain. A standing man in white kurta and a white-shirted, bare-footed figure in the background wear white, and an older man in a white dhoti with an orange shawl stands bending over the offering area. Behind them a crowd of people in white and orange clothing stands behind metal barriers, and brass oil lamps and kalasha-like vessels line the platform.2016-05-09July 06 20152015-07-06Night-time homa at an open pavilion.
