A photograph in a dim, stone-pillared temple corridor lined on the right with a long wall of carved wooden panels studded with large round brass-headed bolts and relief figures. Two or three people walk away from the camera along the passage: in the foreground a woman with hair pinned up and adorned with a white flower garland wears a rust-orange sari with gold border, and beside and behind her a bald man in an orange-saffron robe holds a folded white cloth with an orange edge. Other figures in orange and saffron clothing appear faintly further back. Fluorescent lights hang from the ceiling.2012-05-07A photograph of an antique carved wooden doorway in a museum-style display. The arched frame is densely carved with floral scrollwork and a band of birds and foliage above the lintel. The dark, weathered planks have studded brass bands and a round brass knob or pull. A small painted number is stamped on the lintel. Beside it at right is a lighter wooden panel with carved edges, and an orange carved object appears at upper left. No people are visible.A large carved wooden double door with a grid of recessed panels and iron studs dominates the frame, fitted with a long iron bar latch across the centre. It stands in an unfinished interior with white plastered pillars on either side, scaffolding poles, and timber beams overhead. A blue painted wall shows at the left edge. No people are visible.A photograph of an ornately carved wooden panel or cabinet front, its dark reddish-brown wood densely sculpted with rows of figures, deities and mythical creatures in relief. Several white jasmine garlands drape across the carved surface, arching between the central and side reliefs. The central relief shows a multi-armed deity murti surrounded by attendants, with lion-like and serpent motifs on the sides. No people are visible.2008-10-15A carved wooden doorway frame in a temple-style interior, with dense relief carvings of deities, dancing figures and foliage across its lintel and side panels. A continuous garland of white flowers. Below, a wooden door stands open to a room with hanging lamps and framed pictures on the wall. No people are visible, and the carving shows several deity forms in its central panel, with figures in dance poses flanking the sides. The overall scene is a decorated ceremonial entrance.2008-10-15March 04 20132013-03-04Close view of carved wooden temple architecture with dense relief sculpture. Two closed panelled wooden doors with square and circular relief motifs sit in the centre. Two uniformed police officers in khaki stand before the doorway, with a man in a dark jacket and a man with a small red forehead mark in the foreground, partly cropped at the bottom edge. The setting suggests a temple entrance during a visit.2006-12-04Close view of a dark carved wooden doorway lintel and frame in a temple-style interior. The upper beam shows deeply carved figures, with a band of dense relief sculpture above a wall of ornate wood panels. White and pink jasmine garlands hang across the lower left, and a small yellow oil lamp glows at the lower right beside the carved wood. No people are visible.2008-10-15
