September 01 20062006-09-01December 12 20092009-12-12A photograph of an indoor event at night under bright ceiling lights. A bearded man in an orange sleeveless top and a long white floral garland stands at left, his hands on the head of a seated devotee in a cream short-sleeved shirt who leans forward with eyes closed. Behind them, out of focus, another person in light clothing and a red-and-white flower arrangement fill the foreground at left. The figure in orange has long, swept-back dark hair and a full beard, with distinctive saffron clothing and a garland, which are visible appearance cues, but his face is partly in shadow and his identity cannot be confirmed from the image itself, so he is labelled only as a probable Swamiji by appearance. The scene suggests a blessing being given to a devotee, with a sandalwood-coloured tilak mark visible on the figure in orange.2010-02-07December 13 20092009-12-13A seated man in an orange saffron wrap and a yellow and red marigold garland places his right palm on the forehead of a kneeling man in a pink collared shirt. The seated figure has long swept-back dark hair, a small red bindi, and bare shoulders; a cream upholstered chair and pillow are at left. Behind them a standing person in white clothes and an orange sash is partly visible, and the wall is red-painted. This appears to be a blessing or darshan moment. The man's dress, cues and garland are visible, and his role is a seated giver of blessing receiving devotee.2007-01-02Indoor darshan scene in a temple-like hall. A man with long, swept-back black hair wearing a loose orange sleeveless saffron garment places both hands on the head of a man in a pink collared shirt who stands with eyes closed and palms pressed together in namaskar. Behind them a woman in a white sari with a red-bordered edge kneels, a red kumkum mark on her forehead and a white flower garland in her hair; a smiling woman in white stands further back, with a vertical panel and bright decor in the background. Appearance-based probable candidate Swamiji (probable) is the saffron-clad man giving blessing, matching long hair and saffron clothing cues.2010-06-30Close photograph of a man with long, dark, swept-back hair wearing an orange sleeveless garment, seen from behind and slightly to the side, with his hand raised and resting on the head of a seated man in a yellow shirt who has his eyes closed and a faint smile. The orange-clad figure has a visible back and shoulder; the seated man is in the left foreground with a blurred background of other people. The appearance-based cues of long swept-back hair and orange clothing are consistent with a probable Swamiji (probable) performing a blessing gesture of touching the head of a devotee.2009-12-08A photograph of a figure in a sleeveless saffron-orange robe with long dark hair tied back in a low knot, placing his right hand on the crown of a man's head. The recipient, in a white shirt with a dark tie, has eyes lowered and hands held together in a respectful gesture. Blurred people in white and yellow clothing stand in the background of an indoor hall with pale pink walls and windows. The figure in orange has a distinctive long swept hair and saffron clothing; his identity is not established by appearance alone, so he is described by role as the giver of blessing.2009-12-15A photograph of two men in close indoor contact. On the left, a person with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange-saffron shawl and a dark rudraksha-style bead mala, and places his right palm on the forehead of a shorter-haired man wearing a navy and white striped polo shirt and a gold bangle. The receiving man has his eyes closed and head tilted forward. Pale peach walls and a window frame are behind them.2011-11-29Close photograph of a man with long dark hair tied back, wearing an orange sleeveless garment, leaning in to place his hand on the head of a bald man in a peach-coloured robe with a rudraksha mala. Another man in a white shirt stands behind, reaching in. The person in orange shows distinctive long hair and orange clothing; appearance-based label: a person, performing a blessing or initiation touch on the devotee.2009-12-12A photograph of a seated man in an orange saffron garment with a gold-bordered shawl and a rudraksha mala being touched on the head by another man. The saffron-clad man places his right palm on the crown of a grey-haired man in a white shirt with navy trim and a gold bracelet, who leans forward with eyes closed. Behind them are blurred garlands in yellow, red and green and a window.2011-11-30March 06 20142014-03-06
