October 09 20162016-10-09Indoor devotional music performance on a raised red-draped stage in a hall with pink walls, a green-leaved artificial tree and green sparkly curtains. Three women sing into microphones: the left one wears an orange and yellow saree and has long hair down her back, the centre one wears a black-and-white saree, and the right one wears a blue and purple saree. A seated man in an orange shawl and white dhoti sits at the left edge, and a man in a rust-coloured kurta plays a harmonium at the right. Hand drums and a golden pillar frame the scene, and a screen at the back shows a colourful religious image. Standing devotees in white and casual clothes watch from behind.2016-10-09October 02 20162016-10-02October 02 20162016-10-02Six women seated cross-legged on a red draped stage perform devotional singing before an ornate gold-carved wall lit with rows of small oil lamps. Four singers in deep maroon and rust saris with rudraksha malas front the frame, several at microphones on stands with paper song sheets on low wooden book stands; one holds a red tambourine. Two women in saffron-orange saris sit behind them, one with a long rudraksha mala. The setting suggests a nithya kirtan session. No a person candidate is visible.2014-10-04October 02 20162016-10-02A photograph of a group of devotees seated cross-legged on a red-draped stage, singing or chanting into microphones on stands. They wear saffron and rust-coloured clothing with rudraksha malas. Some hold sheet music on stands, and one woman plays a red tambourine.
