Thick red, white and blue floral garlands hang around the neck and an ornate gold necklace with a temple-style pendant sits over a brown rudraksha-style mala. A gold armlet and bangles adorn the arms, and a red kumkum mark is on the forehead. Behind, a crowd of devotees in white and cream saris and dhotis stands watching, one woman with palms pressed together. Visible cues: long swept hair, ceremonial gold necklace, rudraksha mala, saffron-toned clothing; appearance-based label: a person, shown receiving or offering flowers.2015-01-04Outdoors under a bright sky with palm fronds, a person in an orange-brown garment and wearing a heavy gold necklace and a wide garland of white and red flowers reaches toward an orange cloth banner decorated with a white lamp motif, beside a red-sandstone temple tower. The person has long dark hair, a red bindi and is smiling with eyes lowered. The cloth is hung from a rope held in the other hand. Swamiji (probable) is shown: the long swept-back hair, ornate gold necklace and garland are the cues; this is an in-person candidate performing a temple-side gesture.2013-04-14Outdoor photograph of a bare-chested man with swept-back dark hair and a vermilion dot on his forehead, eyes lowered, holding white and red flower petals in his right hand near a carved reddish-brown stone shrine with ornate tiers. He wears long garlands of white jasmine and red flowers, a brown rudraksha mala, and heavy gold ceremonial necklaces, plus a gold bangle on the upper arm. Palm fronds and yellow blossoms blur in the background under bright daylight. The man appears to be Swamiji (probable), shown performing an offering at a shrine, based on his distinctive long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala, ornate gold necklaces and garlands.2013-04-14A photograph of an outdoor ritual at a temple-style copper or bronze pillar with carved tiers and floral garlands of yellow marigolds and red flowers wrapped around it. A woman with short dark hair and a red bindi stands at right, wearing a maroon-brown garment with gold border, a long brown beaded necklace, a heavy gold ceremonial necklace, gold bangles and a large white-and-red flower garland. She extends her right hand toward the pillar. Palm trees and greenery fill the background, and an orange banner hangs at left with white emblem designs.2013-04-14
