March 15 20142014-03-15Group photograph of eight men in indoor white-walled setting, mostly shaved-headed, wearing rust-brown and orange dhotis with gold borders and shawls, many with rudraksha malas and white tripundra marks on foreheads. A woman in white salwar kameez stands at the far left edge. The men stand in a loose line, some with hands folded, one in the centre with hands together. Renunciate attire suggests sannyasi and monastic devotees. No candidate for a person is distinctively identifiable by appearance, so no identification is made.2014-03-15September 13 20142014-09-13A group of smiling men in saffron and maroon robes stands together in a plain cream-walled room. The central figure wears a saffron robe, a white tilak on his forehead, a rudraksha mala and a pendant, and holds a small green leaf offering in his hands. Men beside him wear maroon robes, dark rudraksha malas and orange shawls, some with glasses.2014-03-15A group of shaved-headed men in saffron-orange robes with gold borders sits cross-legged on a red floor during a satsang. Several wear rudraksha malas and gold pendant necklaces, and some have white and red sectarian marks on their foreheads and arms. A man in the centre foreground speaks while others listen attentively, and a man at the far right with a gold necklace and red mark on his forehead looks down. Another man in white robes with a white forehead band sits in the back row. The setting is an indoor hall with a red mat and a red and white backdrop. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance cues, so the a person field is unsure.2013-03-10February 12 20152015-02-12A seated group of shaved-headed men in saffron and orange robes sits on a red floor before a golden statue of a deity in the background. Several wear white horizontal tilak stripes on forehead and arms, and rudraksha mala necklaces; one central man wears glasses and a brown-orange shawl. They appear attentive, listening to a discourse or satsang. Some are seated cross-legged, and one at right rests a hand on his chin. Warm lighting and a dark red backdrop frame the scene.2013-10-13Four male devotees in orange and maroon dhotis and shawls stand in a hall with red curtains and a red-draped stage behind them. Several wear rudraksha malas and white and horizontal sacred ash markings on their foreheads and arms. The leftmost man has his palms pressed together in namaskar, and the others stand with hands folded or bowed heads in prayer. Brass plates and small vessels sit on the floor at the lower edge. Behind them, more people in orange and white clothing are seated or standing.2014-06-03A photograph of several smiling men in a hall with pale pink walls during a ritual gathering. They wear rudraksha malas over reddish-maroon and saffron-orange cloth, with gold-edged saffron shawls and white tripundra marks on their foreheads and arms. The man in the centre-right holds a mala with both hands, and a man at left presses palms together. Men in orange cloth appear at the edges, and a bowed figure is at lower left.2014-09-13A photograph of a line of saffron-robed sannyasis in a hall with pale pink walls and a polished floor. In the foreground a shaved-headed man in orange cloth with a red and gold border bends forward, reaching out his hands toward a smiling monk in a dark red shawl and rudraksha mala. Behind them, many orange-clad men stand shoulder to shoulder, some with hands extended in greeting, and a woman in white stands at the left edge. The scene suggests an ashram gathering or satsang, with a blue-and-white emblem at the upper left.2014-09-13Photo of a group of saffron-robed sannyasis indoors against a pale yellow wall beside a wooden door frame. Five standing or seated men wear orange and saffron cloth, long beaded and gold-pendant necklaces, and some carry rudraksha malas. In the foreground, a smiling man with a red headband, long swept-back hair, rudraksha malas and a gold pendant sits beside an older bald man with white-painted forehead markings and a red bindi, who sits in a wheelchair in an ornate saffron shawl. Among the standing men, one holds a purple object, another has folded arms, and the far right holds a black book. Two people are partially visible at the edges. A foreground figure with long swept-back hair, crown-like headband, saffron and ornate clothing fits the Swamiji cues, so the appearance-based label is probable.2012-05-18Six smiling men stand close together in a hall with maroon curtains and a patterned floor covering. Five wear saffron-orange and maroon robes with gold-coloured borders, bare shaved heads with white ash markings, gold neck garlands and rudraksha malas; one wears white dhoti-style clothing with a long necklace, and a rudraksha mala hangs from his shoulders. The man second from the right raises a hand in greeting. A figure in dark clothing is partly visible at the bottom left. A metal bowl is held by the man at far right. Orange and patterned banners hang from the top of the frame.2015-09-18
