In the foreground a man with grey hair in white kurta bends forward smiling, while a woman with long dark curly hair in a peach and gold sari stands with her palms pressed together in namaste. On the left an older man in white with palms joined in greeting looks on. Several men wear orange shawls or orange-trimmed clothing and lanyards. Speakers and a stand are visible at the right edge.2008-06-09A photograph of a large crowd of men standing indoors in a metal-roofed hall with orange and red striped rugs underfoot. Most wear white dhotis and shirts with red shawls draped over their shoulders, and many wear conference lanyards and rudraksha or bead garlands. A few are bare-chested with gold-bordered white cloth. Orange and white banners and a gilded ornamental structure appear in the background near the back wall. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance; the scene shows devotees and sadhus gathered at a Kumbh Yatra event.2015-09-12A crowded indoor hall with pale walls, ceiling lights and framed religious paintings, filled with a large gathering of people dressed in white and orange. Most men wear white dhotis and kurtas, some with saffron or red shawls, rudraksha malas and forehead marks; a few wear coloured shirts. A man in the front centre has a vibhuti or sandal mark and a rudraksha mala, and a man on the right wears a white angavastram over bare skin. Many people are seated with eyes closed or looking forward, attending a discourse. Paper name badges hang on several chests. A pink wall, a small framed picture and a stage-like backdrop appear behind the crowd, with a mounted screen at the far left. No a person candidate is clearly visible in the crowd.2017-05-21February 17 20152015-02-17 +1 copies
