A satsang stage with a large gold ornate throne at centre where a figure in saffron/orange robes and an orange head wrap sits with hands raised in greeting, with rudraksha beads visible. A large banner behind shows a portrait labelled "Bhagavad Gita Dhyanapeetsang" of a smiling man in a light blue turban and ornate gold collar. Around the dais, devotees sit on red and orange mats: women in green and teal saris, a child in white and red, and men in white dhotis. On the right a bald priest in a white dhoti with an orange-gold border holds a large ceremonial fan-like umbrella aloft. Brass oil lamps stand on both sides, and a bowl of flower petals sits in the foreground.2011-09-08September 08 20112011-09-08A photograph of a ceremonial stage set with a golden throne draped with a red cushion and garlanded with yellow and red flowers. A seated figure in orange robes and an orange turban sits on the throne, with a large framed portrait behind him labelled "Bhagavan Nithyananda" on the backdrop. Two women in saffron and red saris sit cross-legged on the left, one with palms pressed together in prayer, and a man in a white shirt sits near a brass oil lamp. A woman in a green sari kneels facing the throne, and a white-clad older man kneels before the dais on the right. Brass oil lamps, a kalasha-style brass vessel and a potted plant are arranged on the floor. The scene appears to be a satsang or ritual gathering.2011-11-06November 06 20112011-11-06A stage event in a large hall. A man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne at centre, with a garlanded deity backdrop behind him. In front of the stage, about ten people in white and yellow saris and white dhotis sit on an orange mat, some holding books or small items, while a young priest in white with a shaved head and horizontal tilak on the left speaks into a microphone. A large orange-draped table and a potted decoration sit at the right of the stage. The seated figure in orange could be a person, wearing saffron robes, a rudraksha mala and a sitting-throne position, though his face is too small to confirm; the other figures are devotees and priests.2010-10-23 +1 copiesSeptember 08 20112011-09-08A photo of a ceremonial puja in a hall with pink walls and a stage. On the left, a seated figure in a golden shawl and orange turban, with a multicoloured flower garland and a ceremonial staff, has palms pressed together in greeting. Before him, several people in orange robes and white or yellow saris sit on red-and-patterned mats with hands folded in prayer, around a golden tray with a brass pot and offerings. Behind them, a large audience sits on the floor with small lamps, and a man on the lower right holds an open booklet. The a person flag is yes, but the appearance cues are only partially visible, so the candidate is uncertain and described by role only.2010-11-05October 26 20102010-10-26December 17 20112011-12-17October 08 20102010-10-08A photograph of a stage event with a seated speaker on a gold-and-red throne at centre, wearing an orange robe and a rudraksha mala. He is flanked by devotees seated on an orange cloth on the stage floor, mostly women in white and yellow saris and red blouses. Two men in white with orange shawls and rudraksha malas sit at microphones on the left. Behind the throne is a backdrop of a temple-like shrine with a decorated deity murti garlanded with flowers, and brass lamps. Audience heads are visible at the bottom edge.2010-10-23A photograph of a satsang hall with a seated figure in an orange robe and rudraksha mala on a gold-and-red throne at the centre of a raised stage. A large backdrop shows a temple-style image of two deities seated together, with a crown and garlands visible. Two priests in white dhotis with orange shawls sit at left, one chanting near a microphone, while women in white and yellow saris attend beside the throne. Cameras on tripods face the stage, and a large audience sits on the floor in the foreground, including a monk in orange at centre. The seated figure's appearance is consistent with the probable identity, with orange robe, long hair and rudraksha mala as cues, though he is presented on the throne. Several people in the audience are partly visible; the hall holds a sizeable seated audience.2010-10-24 +1 copies
