Outdoor photo beside a shaded temple path under dense tree canopy. On the left stands a dark stone deity murti draped in yellow cloth with a red garland and a green cloth behind, sitting on a pedestal with heaped red kumkum offerings. Three men walk single file along a stone-paved path: the front two wear saffron-orange robes, and the one behind wears white dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha mala across the chest and a red waist cloth. Behind them are a reddish-pink wall and a stone slab. A coiled metal object lies at the lower right. The walkers are priests or sannyasis, and their faces are not identifiable.2011-11-07October 27 20112011-10-27September 24 20112011-09-24December 27 20092009-12-27October 28 20102010-10-28October 27 20112011-10-27Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots. A barefoot figure in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala stands on a paved area, looking toward a large black stone statue of a seated deity draped in orange cloth and garlanded with marigold and multicoloured flower garlands. Two men in white dhotis with saffron borders stand at left, one holding a folded umbrella. Shrine ground is marked with orange-smeared stones and a small brass lamp on a stand. Rudraksha and saffron clothing are visible on the central figure, but the appearance alone does not establish identity, so the central figure is described by role only.2010-10-28 +1 copiesOutdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. Five men walk along a stone path toward a black serpent statue with white spots and a red-orange mound of offerings in the foreground. Left to right: a bald man in orange robe, a man in white dhoti with a sacred thread and tripundra markings, a bald man in orange cloth, a man in white dhoti and shawl carrying an orange umbrella, and a long-haired man in orange robe with a rudraksha mala. On the right, a black deity statue seated on a pedestal wears orange cloth and a garland of marigolds and flowers. Nearby stands a dark statue. The scene suggests a temple devotional visit to a sacred tree shrine.2010-10-28September 24 20112011-09-24Outdoor temple courtyard under leafy trees. In the foreground a woman with hair tied up in a bun, wearing an orange saffron sari and a beaded necklace, stands with her back to the camera facing a black deity murti draped in red cloth and garlanded with marigolds. Beside it a red-painted shivalingam-like mound and a small stone altar stand on a circular platform. Further back a man in white dhoti with a golden border and bare upper body stands on a stone path. Red walls and rangoli designs at the lower right.2011-09-24December 21 20102010-12-21Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree at an ashram grounds. On the left, a red-painted mound sits with a garlanded deity murti of a standing figure decorated with a multicoloured flower garland and a small offering lamp on a teal cloth. Several people walk along a sandy path: a man in white kurta, a woman in a magenta sari, a woman in a rust-orange sari carrying a cloth bag, and an older bald man in white robes with a sash. On the right, a man with long dark hair wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl and reaches toward the tree. Other figures in white and orange stand further back. Fallen leaves cover the ground.2006-10-21
