Several men and boys raise saffron-orange flags, and one man in a white shirt and orange-bordered white dhoti holds a camera up above the crowd. Others wear white kurtas, a woman in a blue sari with yellow border stands at left, and a man in a checked shirt and dark lungi faces away from the camera. A banner with red and white lettering and a portrait is visible in the background.2009-07-10February 15 20092009-02-15Outdoor crowd scene under a clear blue sky with leafy trees and a utility pole. Several photographers and videographers on an elevated edge hold cameras aloft, shooting down at a dense throng of men in saffron and orange robes, white dhotis and shirts, and khaki police uniforms. In the centre, a man in a saffron-yellow garment stands near a figure in an orange turban with a rudraksha mala, and a uniformed police officer guides the crowd. Bald-headed devotees in orange cloth fill the foreground.2007-02-20July 10 20092009-07-10A dense outdoor crowd of men, mostly in white shirts and some in checked or striped shirts, presses closely around a central figure. Several people hold cameras and video equipment aloft. A man in the centre wears an orange and saffron garment and a beaded or garlanded neck adornment, with a shaved-head priest-like figure beside him. Bare trees and dry fields fill the background under an open sky. Some people raise hands near the centre.2012-05-18December 29 20102010-12-29July 10 20092009-07-10A large crowd of men in white shirts and dhotis fills a wide tree-lined urban street in daylight, with many people walking and some gathered closer to the camera. On the right, a white van with loudspeakers has several people standing on its roof, and a small yellow-and-red flag flies from a pole beside it. Colourful pink, yellow and green banners hang in the distance above the crowd, a palm tree and a multi-storey building stand on the right, and a small yellow-and-red saffron-tone flag is visible in the middle of the procession. The scene suggests a public rally or procession, with people in ordinary street clothing and no clearly visible deity, throne or ritual object.2007-02-20
