A person in an orange robe with short dark hair stands at the base on a white platform, pulling a rope that raises the flag, with a flower garland of orange and red blossoms draped at the pole's foot and coconut palms behind. Several sections of the pole are decorated with engraved rings and scroll-like motifs.A tall, slender tiered metal or stone spire rises against a pale sky beside palm fronds, its top crowned by an ornate finial. Near the base, a man in orange-saffron robes with a bare head stands with his back to the camera, reaching upward and holding an orange cloth toward the spire. A garland of red and orange flowers hangs on the spire. At the lower left edge, a partially visible person with dark hair stands near the structure, and another figure in orange clothing appears at the lower right edge. The scene suggests a temple consecration or ritual setting.2008-10-09A photograph of a flag-hoisting ceremony outdoors under palm trees.
