A padapuja ritual with a devotee's bare foot resting on a brass plate heaped with white jasmine, pink petals and green leaves. In the foreground, a figure in a rust-red robe with a gold border and white jasmine garland kneels or sits over the plate. Behind, a woman in a teal sari sits with palms pressed together in namaskar, and a figure in orange robes wears rudraksha beads and a bracelet. Scattered petals cover the red floor and a white cloth lies at lower left.2014-06-27 +1 copiesClose photo of seated ritual participants during a puja with brass oil lamps lit on a low table. In the foreground a person in an orange-red garment and rudraksha bracelets holds a small brass lamp with a flame. Behind, a figure in white dhoti with yellow border sits beside others in cream and beige cloth. Brass plates hold yellow and orange flowers, rice, bowls and small brass vessels, and a brass kalasha-like vessel stands among them. Several other lamps burn across the table.2017-01-06 +1 copiesA close photograph of a ritual lit with a flame. Hands in orange saffron robes and red-and-gold garments hold a lit wick or lamp over a metal plate heaped with rose petals and yellow marigold flowers, with a red cloth beneath. Orange cloth dominates the left side and a red garment with gold border the right. Offerings and a flame suggest an aarti or puja. No faces are visible; the figures are seen only from the hands down.2015-09-14June 27 20142014-06-27 +1 copiesDecember 16 20132013-12-16December 07 20092009-12-07September 14 20152015-09-14October 02 20132013-10-02September 14 20152015-09-14A photo of a padapuja-style offering: a figure in orange cloth sits on a gold-framed seat with red and white flower garlands draped over the orange garment. In the foreground, a silver tray holds red roses, white jasmine-type flowers, green leaves and gold-coloured fruit or bead-like offerings, beside a lit silver oil lamp with a flame. Two hands in white or cream sleeves hold a small silver vessel and reach toward the tray. Only hands and partial limbs of people are visible. The scene is set on a red cloth with a gold chair in the background.2009-12-08A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and a long red-and-white flower garland, with a rudraksha-style mala, holds a copper kalasha or lota aloft while a circle of devotees kneels around a bed of rose petals and white flowers. Women in white, red and maroon saris with gold bangles and a small boy in a blue-and-white striped shirt lean in, one lighting or holding a flame near the flowers. Men in white dhotis stand and kneel behind. The setting is an indoor tiled floor.2014-06-24 +1 copiesA close overhead view of a puja being performed on a white tiled floor with colourful striped woven mats. Several brass plates hold red and pink flower petals, small brass bowls, a copper water bottle, a small brass lamp and oil lamps with lit wicks. Three people sit cross-legged and lean in: one bare-armed man with a beaded bracelet picks up an offering from a plate, another in a white dhoti with gold border kneels nearby, and a third in a white-sleeved outfit with a rudraksha mala is partly visible at the right. Lit diyas glow along the floor, and a white conch-shaped item sits on a small plate.2017-01-22
