A photograph of the entrance to a large South Indian temple gopuram, its tiered tower covered in white painted sculpted figures under a clear sky. A green-roofed covered walkway and metal barricades lead into the gateway. Several people in white dhotis and shirts walk up the steps and through the entrance, including a uniformed police officer in khaki beside a group of devotees, some in orange or saffron clothing. An orange umbrella shades part of the path. Smaller carved shrines and a small framed deity image sit on the right wall.2012-05-06May 06 20122012-05-06A large crowd of people in white clothes walks in front of a tall, white-stone gopuram of a South Indian temple, its tiers densely carved with deity figures and animals.
