A golden-framed altar shows a large sculpted pair of deities seated together: a male figure with a red turban, golden crown, trident and rudraksha-style jewelled necklaces in green and gold, and a female figure in a rose-pink sari with a golden crown and jewelled jewellery. Both are draped with white and red jasmine and rose garlands. Before them sits a dark linga-like form wrapped in a red cloth with a gold yoni-style base, decorated with beaded necklaces and gold mala strands. Smaller figures stand in gilded niches on each side, one in green and one in orange. Brass oil lamps sit on the white plinth. These are deity murti and statues, not people.2016-10-26October 26 20162016-10-26October 26 20162016-10-26October 26 20162016-10-26 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple shrine with a golden arched frame and orange-gold draped backdrop. Both are garlanded with red and yellow flower malas. In front sits a small figure in a red-orange saffron garment with a turban and rudraksha mala, seated before a black stone shivalinga with an orange cloth and offerings. The male figure wears a red turban and heavy jewelled necklaces, holds a trident, and the female figure wears a teal and red sari with white and red flower garlands draped across both figures. In front stands a tall orange-wrapped lingam with white jasmine garlands, a rudraksha mala, a silver band and green gem-like finials. No living people are visible, and the scene is a deity murti rather than a person depiction.2013-04-10 +1 copiesJune 24 20132013-06-24 +1 copiesNovember 08 20142014-11-08
