A photograph of a satsang-style gathering in an indoor hall with a plum-coloured curtain and a saffron cloth hanging behind. On the right, a bare-chested man with swept-back hair in a knot, gold hoop earring, rudraksha mala draped over his shoulders, saffron wrap and beaded bracelets is speaking with open hands, smiling, with a white tilak on his forehead. Facing him are several men in white ritual clothes, a man in a red and navy floral shirt, and a bespectacled man with hands folded in namaste. Swamiji (probable): the speaker has long swept-back hair, saffron wrap, rudraksha malas and distinctive beaded adornments, and is conversing with the devotees at the satsang.2013-02-01Indoor photo of a devotional gathering in a plain room with a white wall. A bare-chested man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing orange and maroon cloth and a beaded rudraksha-style necklace, raises his right palm in blessing toward a kneeling man in a red-and-black checked shirt, who presses his palms together. Around them, several men in white dhotis and shirts, one with orange shawl and vibhuti marks, stand with hands folded in namaste. A shaven-headed man in orange with gold beaded garlands stands at right, and a bearded man in black shirt stands in the background. A white flower garland and ritual objects are visible at lower right. Whether the central figure is a person cannot be established from appearance, so the description uses his role instead.2011-02-28January 23 20132013-01-23A photograph of a crowded indoor ritual setting with a group of men in white dhotis and bare-chested devotees with white vibhuti tripundra marks on their foreheads. On the right, a man with a topknot wears saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala, holding out his hand toward the group, while another saffron-clad man beside him holds a small brass object. Men in white shirts and a green-striped shirt watch in the background, and a video camera operator is visible behind them near a projection screen. The setting appears to be a hall with warm lighting.2011-11-08February 24 20112011-02-24Indoor photo of a devotional exchange in a hall. A central figure in saffron-orange robes, wearing a long white and red flower garland, a rudraksha-style necklace with gold pendants and a gold armlet, stands with hair tied up in a bun and a white tilak on the forehead. An elderly man in a white shirt and white dhoti bows with hands pressed together toward him, while an older man in a cream shirt smiles nearby. On the right, a bald man in an orange and gold shawl holds an orange cloth with a brass object. Several onlookers stand in the background. The appearance-based label is a person for the central saffron-robed, garlanded figure receiving the devotee's respect.2012-09-12May 17 20132013-05-17November 14 20112011-11-14
