A bald monk in orange robes stands near the center, holding a small object, while a saffron-robed attendant carries a ceremonial flag with a dark red and gold design on a pole. Several people in white stand and sit at the edges, and a young child in white is visible near the right. A small white draped table and a few flower-decorated items sit at the lower left. The scene suggests a ritual gathering beneath the tree.2006-10-06Outdoor photo beneath a large, sprawling banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and thick low branches. Several saffron-robed monastics stand among them at the right, one in orange cloth with a shaved head near the tree trunk. Many participants have hands folded in prayer or are raised in devotion. The tree dominates the scene, with bright green foliage above. This appears to be a procession or gathering at a sacred tree during an ashram program.2009-06-17July 08 20132013-07-08
