Four people in orange saffron robes sit on a striped rug in an outdoor ritual setting before an ornate gold throne with a carved golden lion head behind it. The bearded man at left, with long dreadlocked hair piled high, wears a rudraksha mala and ceremonial silver-and-gold necklaces and white ash markings on his arms and forehead, and is lighting a small offering or incense. Three younger people beside him, also with white forehead markings, wear orange cloths and beaded malas, one with a red-and-gold headband. Brass bowls, a flower offering with red blooms, a white woven pot and a small kalasha-style vessel sit in front of them. Green foliage is visible in the background.2021-05-17Outdoor ritual scene with a seated man bare-chested, wearing orange dhoti and orange shawl, with long dark hair in a topknot and a full black beard, white horizontal tripundra on forehead and white markings on arms and chest. He gestures over an ornate gold-and-carved wooden palanquin-style altar holding a decorated kalasha wrapped in pink-and-white woven cloth with a red flower, a small bell hanging above. A rudraksha mala drapes across his shoulders. Beside him a younger attendant in orange with a white forehead marking holds a microphone. A brass oil lamp stands at the lower left and gilded pillars and a red cushion appear behind.2021-05-17MAy 17 20212021-05-17MAy 27 20212021-05-27A bearded man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and white forehead markings raises one hand while holding a lit oil lamp, the flame glowing beside his chest. Behind him a dark stone deity murti in a tall striated crown and jewelled necklace stands in front of a gold lattice screen, and a small child with braided hair watches at lower left. At lower right a decorated kalasha with flowers and green leaves sits on a brass tray. Red paper decorations hang in the air near the window.2021-05-17Photograph of a ritual inside an ornate hall with gold-carved panels and a gilded throne. A seated man in a red-orange sannyasi cloth wears a long rudraksha mala and a gold chain, with a red bindi and white markings, and long dark hair falling to his shoulders. He reaches toward a silver bowl filled with yellow powder. A young attendant bare-chested with white ash stripes and an orange shawl holds up a handful of the yellow powder. A lamp stand and a ceiling fan are visible at left. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure's long hair, rudraksha mala, saffron-orange cloth and ornate gold throne are cues for the page's Swamiji reference.2017-07-03 +1 copiesMAy 27 20212021-05-27A seated man in a maroon-red cloth and a long rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold throne carved with lions and elephants, with a white-painted forehead and red bindi. He lowers a handful of yellow offering into a large silver-rimmed bowl placed before him. A young attendant in orange cloth with long dreadlocked hair and white body markings holds out a yellow offering to him, and banana leaves hold more offerings in the foreground. The setting suggests a temple-style ritual with abhishekam-type offerings.2017-07-03September 24 20172017-09-24 +1 copiesMay 10 20182018-05-10 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20172017-09-24 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20172017-09-24 +1 copies
