April 23 20162016-04-23Photograph inside a tent at a satsang-style gathering. A seated man in the centre wears an orange turban, orange robes, a rudraksha mala and a heavy ornate gold necklace, and reads from a small blue book with a red-and-gold image on its cover. Beside him, an older bald man with white beard wears orange clothes and dark beaded mala. Behind them, standing attendants in white dhotis wear gold necklaces and hold a long staff, and several saffron-robed sadhus and devotees stand in the background. Red cushions and a red cloth lie in the foreground. Appearance-based candidate: Swamiji (probable), seated and reading, with turban, rudraksha and gold necklace cues.2016-04-23A seated man in a red turban and red-saffron robes with gold trim sits on a stage, eyes lowered, a small red bindi on his forehead and a microphone headset near his cheek. He wears a long multi-strand necklace of large gold-toned beads and gold armlets, and rests his hands on a dark tablet or laptop surrounded by orange and yellow flowers. Behind him, standing figures in white robes with gold borders, rudraksha-style malas and red shawls hold items, and a golden decorated backdrop is visible. The scene suggests a ceremonial gathering.2015-09-12July 23 20092009-07-23September 06 20112011-09-06November 22 20152015-11-22January 13 20152015-01-13September 06 20112011-09-06Photograph of a crowded indoor ceremonial gathering under a tent-like canopy with blue and pink draped backdrop. A central man in a deep maroon-red turban and maroon-red dhoti with a wide gold-toned waist sash wears a long gold-bead necklace and gold armlets; he is smiling and holding a folded white paper with both hands, appearing to hand it to a seated figure. He has long swept-back hair and is bare-chested with a shawl-like wrap. Around him are devotees and attendants in saffron and orange robes, a man in a white shirt, a man in a green and gold cloth at left, and a shaved-headed man in orange at right wearing a pearl-and-black bead necklace with white tilak marks. Several seated orange-robed people and a chair with ornate gold fittings appear in the foreground.2015-01-13A seated figure in an orange-red turban with a jewelled brooch and a red bindi reads an open book at a microphone. He wears a long rudraksha mala with large gold beads, an orange-red robe and a draped shawl. Behind him rises an ornate gold throne back, and a gold lion sculpture sits at the left on a red tiger-striped cushion. Red velvet drapes hang behind the stage.2015-11-22A man in saffron-orange robes and a matching saffron turban sits on a red and gold ornate throne, reading an open purple-covered book held in both hands. He wears a heavy gold bead necklace and a red tilak on his forehead, with long dark hair falling past his shoulders. Behind him stands a figure in white clothing, and to the right a wooden carved lion-headed armrest is draped with white and orange flower garlands. Swamiji (probable): the long swept hair, saffron turban, gold necklace and saffron robes are the cues here, with the man reading seated as a teacher on a throne.2009-07-23A seated man with long dark hair wears an orange and maroon turban and an orange robe with a red bindi on his forehead. He wears a long rudraksha mala with gold-toned spacers and looks down, reading from an open notebook held in his hands. Behind him are green palm fronds and a patterned beige backdrop with a red-striped banner above. The page identifies this as a discourse setting, and his appearance is consistent with a person in a saffron teaching role, though this is an appearance-based label only.2005-09-05
