A procession inside a hall during a Dasara celebration: several men in white dhotis with maroon borders carry a golden palanquin holding a deity murti decorated with red and white garlands. In the foreground, a man holds a golden trident-topped staff and wears a gold necklace; beside him another man carries a golden staff and wears an ornate white-and-gold crown. A bare-chested man in a saffron dhoti leads the bearers, and a man with white hair in a grey shirt and red shawl stands at the right. Women in saris watch from the left, and tall orange-and-patterned banners hang above.

Inside a temple hall, a gilded palanquin carrying a decorated deity murti draped in white and garlanded with pink and white flowers is being carried past a row of devotees. A bald man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stands with hands raised in salutation toward the palanquin. Beside him, a bearded man with long dark hair wears a rudraksha-style red and white bead mala over an orange robe, hands joined in prayer. A man in a long orange-and-gold robe with a shawl and gold necklaces stands with folded hands, and a bald man in orange with a garland stands at the right. Men in white dhotis and onlookers stand behind them, with a silver chamara-like fan and lamps nearby. A pale-haired elderly man in white shirt is at the far right edge.

Ritual scene in a hall with a large ornate gold throne behind. In the foreground, a man in a rust-brown robe with a gold border, wearing a rudraksha mala and wire-rimmed glasses with a small headset microphone, raises his arm and gestures during a ceremony. Beside him, a younger man in a white dhoti with gold trim and white sacred ash markings on his arms and forehead holds his hands in anjali. Behind them, a man in saffron-orange robes with a white garland, white ash and red markings on his forehead holds a lit lamp flame aloft. A gold lion-shaped carving sits at the right edge, and a white floor-standing air conditioner is visible in the background. Ritual ceremony.

Photograph inside a temple hall of a deity murti seated in a golden palanquin beneath a red and gold canopy with tasselled fringe, garlanded with white and pink flower garlands. On the left, a man in white clothing waves a large white chamara fan toward the murti. Four men stand in a row on the right in orange and saffron clothing: the foremost has a shaved head and orange shawl with a gold-trimmed dhoti and folded hands; the next wears a beaded red mala with saffron robes; a third in rust-orange robes stands with a bare arm; another older man in rust-coloured cloth stands on the left of the row. Behind them devotees in white stand near a pillar draped in orange garlands. Petals are scattered on the floor.

A photograph of a temple-style ritual in progress. A standing priest in a dark maroon dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha mala and glasses, holds a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small brass vessel in the other, facing a gold-framed shrine decorated with white and multicoloured flower garlands. Three young attendants in saffron-orange dhotis and turbans stand to his left, one holding a silver tray with a lamp stand and another a bowl of flowers or grains. Behind them, a garlanded figure presses palms together. A pink and gold draped table and smoke rising at the left complete the scene, with petals scattered on the floor.
