Night procession scene. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban sits on a deep maroon velvet throne with gold trim and blue accents, raising one hand in blessing. He wears layered gold chains, a long garland of yellow marigolds and red flowers, and a white flower at the wrist. Behind him stands a tall gold ornamental canopy hung with marigold garlands and a golden kalasha-style finial. A figure in white dhoti with gold border stands at left, and a white feathered fan-like ornament appears at lower right. The seat and canopy suggest a palanquin or ratha procession.January 01 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20132013-01-01November 27 20122012-11-27 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesA person in orange-saffron robes and a matching orange turban sits on an ornate throne at night, raising one hand in a blessing gesture with palm open. Multiple garlands of yellow marigolds and red berries hang on the shoulders and across the chest, with gold-toned necklaces and bangles visible. Behind the throne are long strands of white, yellow and red-and-white flower garlands, and a dark velvet cushion. Flower-decorated brass and gold elements frame the scene, with a pointed silver-toned ornament in the foreground.December 23 20122012-12-23A figure seated on a golden palanquin-style vehicle decorated with garlands of white and yellow flowers, colourful tassels in green, magenta, orange and blue, and hanging golden bells. The seated figure wears an orange turban, orange garment with gold necklaces and bracelets, and a red-and-white flower garland, with the body painted grey-blue and one hand raised in blessing. A red cushioned seat sits beside the figure and a gold-ornamented base is visible at the bottom. The vehicle appears to be a ceremonial procession ratha. The figure appears to be a statue or painted deity murti rather than a living person, so no physical people are present. a person identity cannot be confirmed from appearance here, so the depiction is an uncertain figure.2011-12-20July 25 20102010-07-25A seated man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban sits on a red velvet throne with gold carved armrests and a golden arched backrest, raising his right hand in blessing. He wears a long white and multicoloured flower garland and a beaded necklace, and his feet rest on a red cushion. Behind him an elaborate floral arch of orange marigolds, pink, purple and yellow blooms frames the throne under a gold fringed canopy with a lotus motif. Blue draped curtains form the backdrop, and flower-filled brass pots sit at the sides. Several rudraksha-style beads hang at his chest. Cues in the appearance match the Swamiji (probable) label: saffron clothing, a turban, ornate garlands and rudraksha beads, seated in a ceremonial throne setting.2010-10-24
