Photograph of a naming ceremony at a temple-style setting. A baby lies swaddled in a pale blue cloth with a vibhuti or tilak mark on the forehead. A woman in an orange sari with a rudraksha mala and red-stone pendant leans over the child. A man with long dark hair, gold earrings and a pink-and-white flower garland, wearing an orange-brown cloth, holds a small red tray and offers a finger to the infant. Back-turned figures with bare shoulders, flower garlands and rudraksha beads frame the foreground, and a bare-chested man in white dhoti carries a woven basket behind them. Ritual abhishekam-style offerings and garlands surround the scene.
