Thin cables run alongside the pole, and a palm frond with fan-shaped leaves enters the lower right corner. The pole has rope-like ringed bands along its length. No people are visible in the scene, which suggests a dhwajarohanam flag-raising at a temple complex.2010-07-26Low-angle photograph looking up at a tall copper-banded pole rising from the lower frame toward a corrugated metal roof edge at top left. A man in saffron-orange robes, with an orange top and red-orange lower cloth and a shawl, pulls a rope to raise a red flag up the pole beneath a bright sky with palm fronds at the edges. A partially visible second person stands at the far right edge. The scene suggests a flag hoisting ceremony.2010-09-02Close upward view of a polished copper or brass pole with repeated decorative rope-pattern bands around its shaft. Near the top, a bundle of red and black fabric is tied with a gold cord to a wooden stick, hanging from the pole against a bright white sky. A thin gold cord runs diagonally at the top right.
