A photograph of an ornate golden-brown brass or gilt bowl resting on folded pale peach and orange silk cloth with fringed edges, set on a red and gold patterned fabric. A folded red-orange cloth with orange twisted cord handles and a white cloth edge sits on a gold-bordered red and maroon silk textile with woven golden motifs and gold fringe. Yellow marigold-type flowers and a single magenta flower lie at the left. In the blurred background a person in white clothing walks past, and a small figure of a deity murti appears near the top left.2010-11-06August 15 20172017-08-15 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20182018-01-01Close-up photograph of a ritual offering on a brass plate set on dry grass. A white cloth bundle with gold zari borders is tied at the top and decorated with red roses, green leaves and white jasmine flowers, with red-orange tilak powder smeared on its side. Beside it sit a small brass bowl of dark red berries or seeds, a bowl of orange-yellow flower petals, and several incense sticks lying on the plate.2016-07-04 +1 copiesPhotograph of a small empty wooden platform draped with a gold and orange patterned cloth over a red-and-cream striped mat. A rectangular pale stone or metal block sits at the centre, topped with a single green leaf. Red and yellow marigold garlands hang on both sides of the platform, and a pink silk cloth with gold border hangs behind it. A few loose yellow petals lie on the floor. No people are visible.2019-05-18Close-up of a pair of bare feet resting on a gold-patterned silk cushion placed on a brass plate, decorated with yellow marigold garlands and white flowers. The feet belong to a person wearing a saffron-orange robe that drapes over the right side of the frame. Two small gold kalasha-style vessels with red flower accents sit between the toes and the cushion, and red tasselled fabric hangs around the edges. The orange cloth beneath the scene suggests an outdoor ritual setting. This appears to be a padapuja, the ritual washing or worship of feet, with the person receiving the offering. Only the feet and robe are visible, so the person's face is not shown.2010-07-24July 31 20172017-07-31Close photo of a ritual setting: a hand with a multicolour thread bracelet rests on a coconut wrapped in brown fibre and dressed with gold chain ornaments and fringed gold tassels, set on a white plate heaped with red and orange flower petals. Surrounding items include a brass bowl, a silver tray with red flowers, yellow and red marigold garlands, folded cloth in brown and gold tones, and an ornate silver-embossed object at the upper right. The partially visible person wears a white garment and sits barefoot.2015-10-18Close photograph of a tulabharam weighing scale draped with white jasmine garlands and loaded with bundles of wrapped cloth in peach, salmon and gold brocade, plus bunches of green leaves in clear plastic sleeves. The tray sits on a red cloth, with a silver bowl in the background and a blurred figure in white at the right edge. No people are clearly visible beyond a hand at the top left.2016-05-24Close-up photograph of ritual brass trays on a woven reed mat with red cloth. Several ornately engraved gold-toned brass plates with scalloped rims and lotus-petal motifs hold ritual items: a brass vessel with small gold-coloured objects on the upper left plate, and a plate with a dark red cloth holding a ring of rudraksha beads dusted with kumkum or vibhuti. Small covered brass containers sit at the right edge. Blurred figures of deity murti or framed figures appear at the top right. No people are visible.2018-01-01
