Night photograph of a fire-walking ritual on bare ground with a smouldering dark bed of ash and embers. A central figure with long dark hair, a red bindi, a rudraksha mala and a gold beaded garland over saffron-orange robes with yellow borders stands barefoot on a stone slab at the edge of the fire. Several saffron-robed sannyasis and a bald priest with white ash marks stand alongside, and a man in white dhoti and shirt holds his hands together to the right.

Night photograph of a fire-walking ritual at a temple ground beside a bamboo barrier, with a bed of glowing embers and ash along the left edge. A figure in saffron-orange robes with a red and white flower garland walks along the path, with a person candidate showing long swept-back dark hair and a rudraksha mala, though the appearance is uncertain. Behind him, several men in white dhotis and white shirts hold brass pots and bowls, and a woman in a green sari and another in purple stand near the barrier. Spectators in white and light clothes line a structure with white-clad devotees behind, under a canopy with small lamps overhead. Brass vessels sit on the ground at right.

Night procession on a dirt path lit by a distant lamp. Five men walk in a line: a shaved-headed man in white dhoti and shirt with a rudraksha-style pendant at left; a central man in orange-saffron robes with gold-bordered shawl walking with hands folded; a man in orange robes with gold border behind him holding hands together; a man in white dhoti and shawl with gold border; and a shaved-headed man in orange robes carrying a tray with a small silver vessel, green leaves and white flowers. A man in a white shirt at right holds a lit lamp and a flower garland. Appearance-based identity of the central figure is uncertain, so he is described only by role as a devotee walking in the procession.

Night outdoor scene beside a bamboo fence and a bed of glowing embers. A barefoot man in orange robes and a red-and-white flower garland stands center with his eyes lowered, holding a small silver vessel. To the left, a man in white dhoti and an orange shawl holds a brass vessel. Behind them, devotees in white and saffron stand near the fence, and a woman in a green sari watches. Pots sit on the ground at right. The page describes a fire-walking ceremony during Brahmotsav 2007; the ember bed and vessels suggest a fire ritual, and one figure appears to be a person, identified by the long swept-back hair, orange robes and garland.

Night-time outdoor ritual at dusk among palm trees. In the foreground a man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron cloth with gold border and a gold-beaded necklace, stands with palms pressed together in namaste. Beside him are several men in orange robes with rudraksha-style garlands, also with hands folded. On the right a man in white dhoti and shawl with a red border holds a lit aarti lamp with flame and is accompanied by people in white. A brass plate with flowers lies at lower left. Behind, devotees in white and red clothing stand and one person holds up a camera. The scene suggests a deepam lamp ceremony.

Night outdoor fire ritual. A central figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a gold-toned necklace tosses or offers something into the fire with one hand. To the right, a saffron-clad man with a long rudraksha mala holds a brass bowl. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti stands at the far right holding a staff. Behind them, a crowd of roughly 25 people in white and saffron clothing, some with red shawls and marigold garlands, stands watching the ritual under the night sky.

Night photo of a procession walking along an unpaved dirt road toward strings of lights and a banner. In front, a man in saffron robes wears a long marigold garland over his shoulders and bare feet; a rudraksha mala hangs around his neck. Beside and behind him, several men in saffron and orange robes carry a tray or offering, and a group of people in white dhotis and shirts walk behind them, with a figure in a yellow shirt at the left edge. Prayer flags are strung along a fence at the right. The scene shows a garlanded procession, but the figure's identity cannot be established from appearance alone.
