The man in a white shirt bends forward to receive it, with his hands cupped. Before them are a clay pot with a green plant, a small stone arrangement, and a white-and-orange staff. Behind is a red velvet backdrop, with more garlanded floral offerings at the top edge. The figure has distinctive ornate adornments and ceremonial dress consistent with a sannyasi-style presentation, but the appearance is not clear enough to confirm identity.2015-04-25 +1 copiesPhotograph of a ritual exchange in a gold-decorated hall. A bare-shouldered figure in a rust-orange turban and orange-and-gold garment, wearing layered white and orange flower garlands, rudraksha bead bracelets and gold armlets, holds a ripe banana toward a kneeling man in a white collared shirt, who bows his head and reaches for the offering. Behind them, women in white and cream saris with rudraksha malas stand with hands folded in reverence, and a gold kalasha-style lamp stand is visible at left. Appearance cues of the turbaned figure are suggestive but the face is not clearly visible, so the identity is uncertain.2015-08-22July 31 20152015-07-31A seated man in an orange-red turban and saffron-orange robe, wearing a yellow, red and white marigold garland and rudraksha bracelets, smiles while extending his hand toward a wooden tray. The tray holds oranges, a red fruit, rudraksha beads, gold-coloured ritual items and bangles. Opposite him, a shaved-headed priest in a yellow-bordered cloth with a white tilak and rudraksha mala leans forward. Potted plants and rocks frame the scene, with a standing woman in white sari and red shawl behind them. The gold-toned figures on a stand suggest a ritual setting.2016-02-02 +1 copiesFebruary 12 20152015-02-12
