Outdoor ritual on bare red earth under a canopy. In the centre stands a man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a long rudraksha mala and long swept-back hair, looking down at the work. Two men in white dhotis crouch over a grey clay or stone sculpture being shaped with chisels and tools, apparently an image under construction. Behind them a crowd of devotees in white and orange-red garments, some with red shawls and rudraksha malas, watches closely. Scattered chips and debris lie on the ground.2013-07-14 +1 copiesOutdoor bhumi puja at a dug foundation pit.
