Outdoor ceremony on red-and-white striped stone steps beside a pond, with a large crowd seated on the tiers and along a lower walkway. A figure in orange robes stands at the centre of the steps, a person in white stands on a raised platform further back, and blue tarpaulins and green trees frame the scene under an overcast sky. Many attendees wear white clothes, and a few wear orange or saffron garments. A man in a white shirt and dark trousers sits in the foreground, and a child in an orange shirt sits at the lower right. The setting suggests a group homa or tharpanam gathering in an open-air ritual area.

Behind them, a woman in a white top and white trousers presses her palms; a woman in a yellow and red sari with bangles and a man in a cream kurta and dark rudraksha mala sit further back. A man in a white shirt and dark trousers and a woman with long blonde hair in a yellow sari kneel nearby. Metal railings and a grey sky form the background, and a green bag lies on the steps.
