July 06 20092009-07-06Photograph of three men in saffron-orange robes indoors against a plain white wall. On the left, a man with short dark hair and a red-and-yellow forehead mark wears a loose orange shawl draped over his shoulders. In the centre, a man with curly hair and a red forehead mark stands behind, raising one hand palm-outward in a blessing gesture. On the right, a smiling man with long dark hair, a white horizontal forehead band with a red dot, and an orange robe stands beside a large ornate gold-carved chair or throne.2009-07-06A man with long dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead laughs broadly, one hand raised near his head and the other extended outward. He wears a saffron-orange robe over an orange top, with a wrap draped across his body. Behind him, a framed photograph on a wall shows an elderly bearded man in orange robes seated before a red backdrop. Folding chairs and a window with blinds fill the room, and a partial figure in dark clothing stands at the right edge.A smiling man with long, swept-back dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead stands in a shrine-like room, wearing a sleeveless orange wrap garment and orange cloth. He faces a younger man on the left in a yellow-orange kurta with long curly hair, who holds a clipboard and papers. A third person in white clothes is partly visible at the right edge. Behind them, a framed portrait of a deity or saint with a golden crown and a garland of white and red flowers hangs on the wall, and a wooden cabinet below holds brass oil lamps and a small kalasha-like brass vessel. Framed pictures of a saint in orange robes and a deity appear on the left wall, with shrine niches above.2010-02-17September 17 20062006-09-17A photograph of two saffron-robed sannyasis in a narrow whitewashed passage. On the left, an older man with a shaved head, white forehead markings and a white beard is draped in an orange cloth pulled over his head. On the right, a smiling man with long swept-back dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead and a heavy ceremonial gold necklace of beads and a large pendant points ahead with his right arm. Behind them a younger man with curly hair and a red mark on his forehead stands in the background, and a young boy in white is partly visible at the right edge. The right-hand man shows distinctive long hair, ornate gold necklace and orange robes, consistent with a person candidate; the photo is a photo of people in a passage.2006-12-04A photograph taken indoors in a plain room with pale grey walls and a wooden door on the left. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a red bindi smiles and gestures toward the doorway. Beside him, a bald man in saffron robes with a rudraksha mala and red tilak walks alongside. Behind them a woman in a white sari with a red border and a man in white clothing move through the room, with a small table holding a lamp and offerings to the left. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, saffron robes and rudraksha malas on the central figure.2012-01-03A photograph of a smiling man in profile wearing an orange-saffron sleeveless top and a matching orange wrap draped over one shoulder, with a red-orange tilak on his forehead and short dark hair. He stands against a plain white cinderblock wall beside a dark doorway edge, and the blurred head of another person appears in the lower-left foreground. The appearance and orange clothing are consistent with the page's description of a sannyasi, so this is a probable candidate, but the face is not clearly enough visible to confirm identity.2007-12-07July 10 20082008-07-10December 04 2006 - Karthikai Deepam, Tiruvannamalai2006-12-04Indoor photo of two men in orange saffron robes beside a white wall and a gold-framed ornamental panel. The man on the left has long swept-back black hair, a white tilak on his forehead, and bare-armed orange drapery, and raises one hand in greeting. The man on the right wears an orange shawl draped over his shoulders and holds his right hand to his chest while another hand rests on the left man's arm. A figure in white clothing stands at the far right edge. A wall switch plate is visible in the centre.2009-07-06A photograph in an indoor hall with a deep red velvet curtain behind. A long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala necklace sits smiling on an orange velvet armchair with a red cushion and orange bolster pillows, one hand raised in conversation. Before him, an older man with white hair and beard, wrapped in an orange shawl, leans forward with hands together in greeting. A younger man in white with an orange shawl and a tilak mark stands at left, and a partially visible person is at the right edge. A white table holds a tray with small items. The seated figure's appearance matches the appearance-based cues of a person: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha mala, seated on a throne-like chair.2010-07-02 +1 copies
