Inside the shrine, a deity murti decorated with white and red flower garlands sits in a gilded arch. In front, a black pot-shaped vessel rests on a wooden platform draped with a white jasmine garland, flanked by brass oil lamps and a fan. Three people in saffron-orange robes kneel and attend the ritual: one with a shaved head and tilak leans in to the vessel, and two others, one with a shaved head and tilak, kneel at the sides. Roadside buildings and trees appear behind.2010-11-22A brightly painted, multi-tiered gopuram-style temple tower wrapped in bamboo scaffolding stands in a dense crowd outside a temple complex. The tower is decorated with colourful painted deity figures and panels in red, yellow, green and blue. Bamboo poles climb its sides, and many people in white and in orange and red garments fill the courtyard and lower walkways, with a few in saffron. Trees, a tall white pole and a canopy frame the scene, and a small shrine with a stone platform and offerings sits at the base. Crowd size is large, with many dozens of people visible.2017-02-06 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of a tall copper pole with raised bands of carved rope-like relief, viewed from below against a pale blue sky. Tied near the top are two bundles of orange cloth joined by golden cord, with a looped orange cord, mango leaves, dried wheat or grass stalks and a small cinnamon-coloured stick bound among them. No people are visible; the decorated pole and its offerings are the main subject.2013-11-22A photograph of a temple tower under construction, with bamboo scaffolding lashed together over a red and multicoloured ornate structure decorated with painted stucco figures. Three men stand and work on the scaffold against a pale blue sky. The man on the right wears a white head cloth, white dhoti and a multi-strand flower garland with a yellow cloth draped over one shoulder. The man on the left wears a white dhoti and a shawl and holds a brass kalasha vessel with a garland. A bare-chested man sits at the lower left on the scaffold. The scene is a kumbhabhishekam-related temple ritual setting. Two men are visible with garlands and white clothing; no figure has clearly distinctive visible cues for the a person candidate.
