A photograph of two workers on a construction site laying concrete along a raised curb. The man in the foreground wears an olive-green shirt, grey trousers and sandals, and bends low to smooth wet cement with a trowel. Behind him, a barefoot worker in a red shirt and a blue-and-white checked cloth on his head uses a broom along the edge of the curb. A grey hose runs beside them, and bare wooden stakes and sandy earth fill the background. Nothing in the frame shows a ritual, satsang or any a person presence.

A photograph of an outdoor ashram pathway under construction. Large flat grey stone slabs are being laid into a sandy path lined with green shrubs on the left and a red-brick wall. A woman in a striped blouse and red-and-white sari with a pink shawl stands at the left edge watching. Two men work on the stones: one in a maroon shirt and dark trousers walks across the slabs, and another in a green shirt and khaki trousers bends over a stone at right. A third man in white stands further back, and a hand cart sits on the path. Trees and a pinkish building fill the background.

A photo of an outdoor construction site where a paved walkway of large grey flagstones is being laid along a red boundary wall topped with barbed wire. A woman in a striped shirt, red sari and pink shawl walks on the stones at left. A man in a dark teal shirt and khaki trousers carries a stone at centre, while a second man in a striped shirt stands behind him. Loose cut stones lie on bare earth in the foreground, with a metal hand cart at right, a green hedge at left and red containers in the background.

A photograph of ashram construction work at an unfinished concrete building. In the foreground, a man in a checked shirt and grey trousers bends over a patch of wet grey concrete, troweling it with a small hand tool. A woman in a red headscarf and maroon sari stands behind him. A long wooden-handled tool leans against the wall to the left. Beyond the doorway, a sandy path runs between palm trees, with a few children and a stone sculpture visible in the distance.

A photo of an ongoing paving project along a walled lane. Large grey flat stone slabs are being laid into a path, with loose slabs and rubble piled on the dirt in the foreground and a small hand cart at the right. Three people stand on the paving: a woman in a striped top and red-pink sari with a pink shawl on the left, a man in a white striped shirt and grey trousers in the centre, and a man in a teal shirt and khaki trousers on the right holding a stone. A red brick boundary wall runs along the left and green shrubs grow beside it. No a person candidate is visible.

Low-angle photograph of three men working on bare ground beside a low brick wall. The man on the left wears a striped checked shirt, blue shorts and a white-and-green striped head wrap, and bends forward. A man in the center wears a white head wrap and a checked shirt and crouches over the ground. The man on the right wears a blue plaid shirt and white shorts and bends toward a shallow metal tray holding small stones and gravel. Behind them is a red-and-white triangular bunting fence, palm trees and a large banner showing a saffron-turbaned figure. Pale overcast sky.

Workers at an outdoor construction site spread wet concrete over a gravel base. In the foreground, a man in a light-coloured shirt and orange head wrap bends forward, while a man in a green-and-white checked head cloth and a man in a khaki shirt and white dhoti shovel and level the grey mix. Piles of sand and crushed stone sit on the right, and more workers in white shirts and dhotis carry materials in the background. A wooden stake and a hose lie on the ground.

Outdoor construction scene beside a grey stone boundary wall with red brick coping and green shrubs and trees behind. Three labourers work on a concrete or mortar strip: a man in a white shirt and grey trousers holds a long-handled trowel, a man in a checked shirt, blue-and-white lungi and red headcloth stands watching, and a shirtless man in a lungi pours from a round metal pan along a rope-guided line. Dry earth lies in the foreground. A small white plaque or stone sits atop the wall.

Outdoor construction site with a large mound of reddish-brown earth in the foreground. A man in a white short-sleeved shirt and dark shorts, barefoot, shovels or sweeps soil up the pile. To the right, a shirtless man in a blue patterned shirt and green checked lungi wears an orange headband and stands beside a trench, while another worker crouches at the far right. Behind them are a white wall with red trim, a green bin, a tree, palms and open fields under a pale sky.

Outdoor construction scene at an ashram site where workers lay wet grey concrete over a gravel-and-soil base. Two men in the foreground bend low: the left man wears a red-and-orange headcloth, a white shirt and striped shorts, and smooths the concrete with a trowel; the right man wears an olive shirt and white dhoti and works with a trowel and a large metal pan. Behind them, barefoot workers in white dhotis stand near the edge. A wooden stake marks the edge of the pour, and loose soil lies on the right.
