A photograph of a communal feast in a open-sided pavilion with orange curtains and a white-walled back wall. Several people in saffron-orange robes serve food: a woman in orange robes carries a white tray of food, and a man in orange with a long orange garland stands at the right holding a steel plate. Seated guests in white shirts and white clothing eat from steel plates on long tables, with cups and bowls of rice, curries and sweets. Another woman in orange serves from a pot at the back-left, and a man in orange with a gold-toned necklace stands near the middle. Steel serving trays and pots line the tables.2008-12-25September 15 20152015-09-15September 15 20152015-09-15 +2 copiesSeptember 15 20152015-09-15 +2 copiesA long hall with white tiled floor where saffron-robed sadhus sit in two facing rows eating a meal from steel plates and white paper plates, with water bottles placed along the rows. In the foreground, a man in a dark-orange robe with a long grey beard and wild dark curly hair wears a white vertical forehead mark and a rudraksha-style mala, seated on a white plastic chair. Beside him, another bearded man in a light orange kurta with a white tilak sits in profile. Red-cushioned chairs and tables with floral cloths fill the hall behind them. The scene reads as a meal in a community hall.2009-12-30December 25 20082008-12-25A large hall set for a communal meal with long tables covered in green banana-leaf plates and steel bowls, water bottles placed along the cloths.
