Two men kneel on a concrete floor working on wooden planks, carving and shaping lengths of pale timber. Both wear plain white dhoti-style cloth around their waists; one has a gold wristwatch and a red thread on his wrist. Wood shavings and chisels lie scattered around them, with several smooth boards laid out in the foreground. No person of the a person candidate type is visible; the scene shows woodwork in progress.

A craftsman in a white sleeveless vest and orange cloth sits at a workbench in an open workshop, chiselling a long pale wooden plank clamped to the table. Two young men sit on a white tarpaulin outdoors on reddish earth, working on a wooden chariot part. The man on the left, in a checked shirt and red lungi, holds a hammer and drives a metal chisel into a wooden strip. The man on the right, in a white shirt and green-grey lungi with a gold border, steadies the wood with both hands. A tape measure, chisels, a mallet and wood shavings lie on the cloth. Behind them a red and white wooden wheel and a blue tarpaulin are visible.

A man in plain white clothes, a white shirt and white dhoti, stands bent over a large flat plank of pale wood laid on wooden trestles in an open-sided workshop. He holds a long thin metal scribe or marking tool and appears to be marking or measuring the board. A steel rule lies on the wood. Behind him, a concrete block wall holds hanging white cloths, wooden poles, tools, a yellow plastic bag and a bucket. Wood offcuts, a curved wooden piece and other scraps lie on the sandy ground.
