Behind him, a golden ornamental structure is raised on a pole, and blurred figures in matching maroon garments and white dhotis move along in the background.2013-10-12Outdoor procession on a dirt path in the evening, with two ornate multicoloured canopy umbrellas raised on long gold-tipped poles. At centre, a woman in an orange-gold silk sari wears a long white and red flower garland and smiles while raising one arm. Around her, men in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls, several with long beards, gold necklaces and rudraksha-style beads, stand with hands folded in reverence. Men in white dhotis and orange shawls carry the poles. At right, a woman in a white and gold sari holds a brass tray with a jar and flowers. Visible people: about ten to twelve.2008-01-01A man in a rust-red turban and matching red-orange robe stands with eyes closed and arms raised, hands joined above his head in a devotional gesture. He wears layered rudraksha-style beaded malas, a large gold pendant necklace, gold bangles and a gold waist cord with a white and red flower garland draped over his shoulders. Beside him a woman in a red saree holds a microphone and wears beaded necklaces. Dark night setting with bright lights behind.2015-11-19February 08 20172017-02-08Night-time outdoor ritual procession on a covered platform with orange-brown mats. In the centre, a man with a shaved head wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a gold-bordered waist cloth and a gold armband, walking forward with his hands clasped. Around him, people in white dhotis and kurtas wear red-orange shawls. On the right, women in white salwar kameez with red shawls walk barefoot, and an older woman with white hair in a white dress and red shawl stands among them. Behind them, a woman in a pink sari kneels by a brass vessel. A lit deity shrine with a canopy and figures stands at the back, beside a row of red chairs.2013-10-07February 08 20172017-02-08 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20122012-09-24Night photograph of a smiling man with a shaved-looking head area and white Vaishnava-style forehead markings with a red bindi, draped in a rust-red shawl pulled over his head and shoulders. He wears a rust-red garment with a gold border and gold embroidered trim. His hand rests on his hip. Behind him, a blurred man in white and orange clothing stands near a yellow banner on a pole against a dark background.2013-10-12Night photograph of a smiling person standing on a dirt road in front of a string of multicolour lights. The person wears a maroon turban, a maroon garment with a broad gold-orange border, multiple rows of brown rudraksha malas, a gold pendant necklace, gold bangles and a white flower garland with pink and green decorations. They hold a tall silver trident, and orange sandals are visible at the feet. A partially visible person stands at the right edge and a vehicle with a wheel is at left. The garment and ornaments suggest a saffron-and-ornate presentation with rudraksha and gold, so the figure is an appearance-based a person presenting in person at an outdoor procession or festival setting.2015-11-19
