Near its base, a figure in a flowing orange robe grips a rope that runs up to the pole's ornate finial, which is topped with a carved red-orange element. Another person in orange is partly visible at the lower right edge, beside a garlanded stone structure. The scene suggests a flag-raising ceremony at a temple, consistent with dwajarohanam. The figure at the rope is a person in orange robes, and their face is not visible enough to judge who they are.2009-07-08December 14 20162016-12-14Low-angle photograph of a tall copper flagstaff (dhwajasthambha) rising from an ornate carved bronze-coloured base decorated with white and yellow marigold garlands and a palm-frond wrap.
