A photograph of a Hindu temple shrine during a puja for a deity murti in an ornate gilded arch backed by a blue drape with a green cloth. The standing murti is adorned with a crown, a layered jewelled necklace, long garlands and a sari-like orange and turquoise garment. Two priests stand at the shrine: a bare-chested priest on the left in an orange upper cloth and white dhoti raises a lit oil lamp toward the deity, and a second priest on the right in a white dhoti holds a small bell and stands beside the murti. Brass lamps, a brass vessel, white flower arrangements and pink and yellow flowers decorate the altar in front of the deity.2024-03-10KAILASA SAN JOSE, USA on 7/4/20202020-07-04A priest with a bare upper body and a white dhoti bordered in gold stands at left, facing a golden arched shrine framed by carved gold elephants and a maroon curtain. He holds a brass aarti lamp with a lit flame in his raised right hand, with smoke rising from it. Inside the shrine, a golden-faced deity murti in an orange and red garment, adorned with silver necklaces and red garlands, stands above two smaller deity figures in green and orange clothing with garlands, all set on a gold-cloth-covered altar with flowers and brass vessels. The scene depicts an evening puja for Devi Parashakti during Navaratri at the Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple.2020-10-17KAILASA in SanJose on 4/22/20192019-04-22 +3 copiesPhoto 82869422020-11-14 +1 copiesPhoto 82876332022-07-30 +1 copiesA priest in white dhoti and a face mask performs aarti before a golden arched shrine holding a deity murti, the central figure adorned with white and red flower garlands, a crown and a rudraksha-style necklace.
