Many men in white shirts and dhotis press together, several with rudraksha malas around their necks. In the lower centre, a shaved-headed young man in white with a yellow-bordered cloth stands with his back to the camera while a man in white glasses and a white shirt, mala visible, smiles toward him. Other men on the left and right lean in, and a man in a pale blue shirt is at left. No robed central figure with distinctive ceremonial cues is visible in the frame, so the scene is best described as devotees and volunteers in a crowd.2012-01-08December 29 20102010-12-29September 17 20062006-09-17Night photo of a dense crowd of devotees packed behind a metal barrier at an outdoor event. Most men wear white or light-coloured shirts and dhotis, one in a pale blue shirt stands at centre, and a bald man at right bare-chested shows white and red sacred markings on his forehead. Bright floodlights and strings of lights illuminate the scene, with a lit stage and deity-decorated platform visible at the far left under colourful hanging bunting. A long building with a tiled roof sits at right.2012-04-06November 27 20122012-11-27July 03 20142014-07-03A crowded evening gathering under a striped canopy strung with coloured lights, with rows of white plastic chairs. Many men in white and pale shirts, some with white tilak markings on their foreheads, press closely together. In the foreground a man raises his hand in a V sign. Partially visible on the right, a man in a teal shirt stands among devotees. No a person candidate is clearly visible in this image.2014-07-03A large dense crowd of men seated closely together, many bare-chested or in white, wearing white or off-white dhotis and rudraksha or white beaded necklaces around their necks. Many faces are visible in the front rows, some with moustaches and beards, some bald. Behind them, red and white draped fabric and a white-clad figure are partly visible at the top edge. The scene suggests a large satsang or meditation gathering. Several hundred people are present, filling the frame.2017-03-11January 12 20072007-01-12
