Close-up photo of a ritual offering being prepared. A person in red garments, wearing a white and pink floral garland and a white wrist thread, sorts small clear plastic packets containing gold-coloured items, pink and yellow cloth, and white paper slips. Another hand on the right holds fresh green leaves and offers them over the packets. An orange silk cloth lies in the foreground and warm flames glow at the upper right.2016-05-24May 24 20162016-05-24May 24 20162016-05-24Close-up photograph of a seated person's bare feet and lower legs wrapped in a red garment with gold border, adorned with a white and pink flower garland around the ankle. Beside the feet on the red cloth lie several small clear plastic packets containing gold-coloured items, each with a folded white paper slip and tied with bilva-like green leaves. Blurred orange and golden background suggests a ritual setting, consistent with a padapuja offering arrangement.2016-05-24A padapuja ritual with a devotee's bare foot resting on a brass plate heaped with white jasmine, pink petals and green leaves. In the foreground, a figure in a rust-red robe with a gold border and white jasmine garland kneels or sits over the plate. Behind, a woman in a teal sari sits with palms pressed together in namaskar, and a figure in orange robes wears rudraksha beads and a bracelet. Scattered petals cover the red floor and a white cloth lies at lower left.2014-06-27 +1 copiesMay 24 20162016-05-24November 23 20092009-11-23May 24 20162016-05-24May 24 20162016-05-24Close-up photograph of bare feet in a padapuja, the foot-worship ritual. A person in orange robes sits with bare, dusty feet resting on a golden tray. Around the feet are silver and gilt ritual vessels holding pink rose petals, a silver conch-shaped vessel, small bowls of yellow liquid, and white flower or grain offerings. Only the lower body and feet of the worshipped person are visible; no face shows. The scene reads as padapuja with abhishekam-style offerings laid around the feet.2010-10-30Close-up photo of a padapuja ritual: bare feet in orange-saffron cloth rest on a polished silver-and-gold tray, one foot placed among white flower petals and pink lotus blossoms. Silver bowls hold white flower petals, a small silver vessel and a red apple sit nearby, and an ornate silver plate lies at the lower right. A hand on the left reaches toward the offerings. Only the feet and hands of the people are visible, so no whole person can be seen. The feet appear to belong to a person in orange robes, but the figure is not shown fully, so identity is unsure.2010-10-31 +2 copiesApril 20 20182018-04-20
