A photograph of a ritual scene in a temple-style hall. On the left, a deity murti is dressed in orange and gold silk and adorned with long garlands of purple, yellow, white, green and red flowers, seated on a green silk cloth. In the centre, a shaved-headed man in a bare upper body with a rudraksha mala and gold bangles leans forward over a red cushioned throne with a gold frame, pouring or offering from a small vessel. To the right, a standing person in a rust-orange turban and saffron wrap with a white flower garland looks on. A camera operator is visible behind the throne, and the walls show painted decorative panels.2014-06-12June 12 20142014-06-12A photograph of a ceremonial stage before a red curtain. A seated man in a rust-brown robe and matching turban sits on an ornate gold throne with a leopard-print cushion, a pink-and-white garland around his neck and gold ornaments on his arms and chest. Behind him, a large floral arrangement of yellow, orange, red, purple and white flowers frames a golden crowned deity murti flanked by two smaller figures. A younger man with long dreadlocks and an orange cloth, bare-chested, leans in from the right to hold a lit oil lamp near the seated man, who gestures with his hands. The scene suggests an aarti or puja offering. Orange-robed and brown-robed figures are the only people visible, with a watermarked credit line at the lower right.2017-11-11April 21 20132013-04-21 +1 copiesDecember 05 20142014-12-05December 14 20162016-12-14Ritual abhishekam at a temple shrine.
