Outdoors beneath a large ancient banyan tree with dense aerial roots and sprawling branches. A man stands barefoot with palms joined in namaskar, wearing an unstitched white dhoti and a white shawl draped over his shoulders, with a red and white flower garland and a rudraksha-style necklace. Ahead of him is a large mound of bright orange-red stone covered in pigment, beside a small oil lamp and a brass bell on a low stone ledge. Strands of marigold and rose garlands hang on a black shrine figure on the right, and a red rope fence runs along the tree line. A second person in white is partly visible on the far right near the garlanded shrine.2011-01-01A man stands barefoot on a red and maroon mat beside a large banyan tree, one hand resting against its aerial roots. He wears an orange-saffron dhoti and matching shawl draped over his shoulders, a beaded waist belt, and a white sacred mark on his forehead. Sandy ground, stone blocks and a red brick wall form the outdoor setting.2013-02-24A photograph of an outdoor temple courtyard beneath a large, sprawling banyan tree with thick aerial roots and branches. A single man stands barefoot at the centre, palms pressed together in anjali mudra, wearing a plain white dhoti with a gold border and a long garland of white and red flowers with a gold-coloured necklace. A red chain rope and a small brass lamp stand nearby, and in the foreground a large mound of bright orange-red kumkum or vermilion sits beside a stone base.2011-01-01A man in a red-orange dhoti and matching sash with gold edging stands leaning his forehead against the massive pale trunk of a banyan tree with aerial roots. In the centre-left, a young man in a white dhoti and white upper cloth stands with palms pressed together in namaskar, wearing a white and red flower garland and a gold-coloured neck ornament. On the right, a dark stone murti is draped with a garland of yellow, red and purple flowers, and a figure in white stands beside it. In the foreground, an orange-smeared stone pedestal or shrine base sits beside a small oil lamp and a wooden bench. A red thread is strung between tree supports.2011-01-01A man stands barefoot on a small red and patterned mat beside a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots, leaning his head and forehead against the trunk with eyes closed. He wears an unstitched white dhoti with a striped cream-and-red border, draped over the bare upper body, and a striped shawl hanging from his shoulder. He has a dark bun of hair and wears red-brown rudraksha beads at the neck, upper arm and wrist. White chalk kolam lines are drawn on the bare ground around him. The stance suggests quiet devotion at the sacred tree. The a person field is unsure: the appearance shows no crown, saffron garments or gold ornaments, and the bun and white ritual clothing do not establish his identity.2012-04-03A person in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl stands barefoot on a low stone platform, leaning in close against the trunk of a large banyan tree with aerial roots. The figure has long dark hair swept back, a red-striped orange cloth, and a rudraksha-style necklace visible at the chest. Sandy ground, a low stone border, and a red brick wall sit in the background among young trees, with a white pole to the right.
