December 22 20112011-12-22Outdoor procession beneath a large banyan tree with dangling aerial roots. At centre, a man in a rust-orange turban and rust-orange dhoti walks barefoot, wearing a heavy gold necklace, a white-and-pink flower garland and a rudraksha mala, with a bare upper body. Above him an ornate yellow parasol with multicoloured fringe and tassels is carried on a pole. A woman in a maroon sari with a garland walks beside him at left. Behind them, saffron-clad and white-clad men and women follow along a sandy path with rocks and a low wall. Several people in the background wear white dhotis, saffron cloth and rudraksha malas. The scene reads as a ceremonial walk with a parasol bearer and attendants.2016-10-08July 09 20172017-07-09A man walks along an overgrown dirt path beside a concrete block wall and green bushes, shaded by a red umbrella with green and gold trim and tassels. He wears a dark maroon-red unstitched robe draped over his shoulders and has long dark hair and a smile. Behind him, a second man in an orange-saffron robe walks along the path, and a third figure in orange is partly visible among the foliage. Palm fronds and trees fill the background under a bright sky. Candidate identity is an appearance-based judgement: the man under the umbrella has long swept-back hair and ceremonial red-maroon robes with an umbrella processional setting, making him a person figure walking in the procession.2018-05-10 +2 copiesOctober 11 20162016-10-11A procession of devotees walks along a paved path under ornate umbrellas with red poles and gold-and-red fringed canopies, one blue and gold. On the right a young man in a white shirt with an orange lanyard holds a pole, and a woman in orange robes with long plaited hair stands at the edge. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti walks on the left among palm trees and flowering shrubs. No a person-appearance candidate is clearly visible.2016-09-26October 11 20162016-10-11December 17 20142014-12-17A night-time procession under a large banyan tree. In the centre, a man in an orange robe and orange turban, with a long white beard, wears a red and white garland and holds a hand-held photograph or standee that stands in for the figure. An ornate rainbow-striped parasol with a gold finial is raised above him. Behind, saffron-robed men walk in procession, one in white dhoti with bare chest and rudraksha mala, another with hands folded in namaskar. Stone paved ground, bench and lit area at right.2018-12-31 +1 copiesDecember 02 20132013-12-02A procession on a cloth-covered path under large banyan-type trees. A central man with a tall dark turban-style headdress wears a rust-red dhoti and a long red-and-white flower garland, with gold armbands and a gold necklace, and walks forward while a woman in orange robes beside him reaches toward him. Behind him women in orange saris and white-and-gold saris carry brass kalasha pots with flower arrangements. Two men in white dhotis with rudraksha malas, one holding a trident-like staff, walk at the left. Above them a red, yellow and multicolour ceremonial umbrella and yellow-orange flags with emblems are carried in the procession, and a metal railing lines the path.2016-07-19December 05 20112011-12-05
