July 17 20082008-07-17A photograph of a large spread of offerings on a red-covered table. Plates and steel trays hold fruits including apples, oranges, bananas, limes and grapes, alongside sweets, nuts, sugar cubes, packaged snacks, coconut-filled confections and wrapped gift packets. Colourful paper rosettes and fringed ornaments decorate the trays. Two people in white clothing stand at the left, one in white with an orange cloth at the top right edge, and a partial figure in orange clothing is visible at the lower right. The setting looks like a temple or ashram offering for a devotional event.2008-07-17July 17 20082008-07-17Overhead view of a red-floored ritual space covered with trays and steel plates of offerings. Many stainless steel bowls hold foods including cooked grains, vegetables, pulses, nuts, dried fruit, cut and whole bananas, oranges, apples, lemons, and piles of green leaves and flowers. Potted plants and a tall garland-wrapped pole stand in the background. Two people in white clothing stand partly visible at the top edge, with a red cloth draped nearby.
