2004 - sacred collections uncategorisedFebruary 24 20072007-02-24A photograph of a ceremonial scene in an interior hall with red-and-cream walls and a lattice window. A seated figure on an ornate carved wooden throne with red velvet backing wears an orange saffron-coloured robe and orange turban, with a white shawl draped over the shoulder, and is adorned with white and yellow flower garlands. A bearded man in white kurta and dhoti stands before him, placing his hands on the seated figure's head in a blessing. Another man in white clothing stands at left. Pink flower petals and offering trays with red flowers and small bowls sit on the floor, along with a brass bowl on a side table, and the throne is decorated with pink and white garlands. The scene resembles a padapuja-style honouring ceremony.2003-07-13May 30 20042004-05-30February 24 20072007-02-24August 02 20092009-08-022004 - First Sannyas Deeksha At AdiKailaasa2004-07-02July 20 20102010-07-20August 13 20092009-08-13August 16 20092009-08-16February 24 20072007-02-24Photograph of a ceremonial padapuja scene on a stage with pink, gold and silver draped curtains. An elderly man in white shirt and white dhoti, wearing a rudraksha mala and gold bracelet, bends forward and touches the hands of a long-haired man in orange robes seated on a golden throne with a red cushion and a gold footstool. A younger man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands at the right, watching. A white-clad attendant is partly visible at the left edge. Green carpet covers the floor, and a red-and-gold throne is behind the seated figure. The seated man has long dark hair and a saffron robe with a crown-like gold backdrop; no clear a person cue beyond the honoured seating is established, so identity is unsure.2009-07-11
