July 08 20092009-07-08December 07 20072007-12-07Outdoor photo at a temple courtyard with a white building behind them bearing red Tamil lettering reading ஆனந்தேஸ்வர் மந்திர் and a sign reading Sri Anandeshwara Temple. A man in the centre wears a white dhoti and kurta with a bright orange shawl over his shoulder, a rudraksha mala, and his long hair pulled back; he raises one hand, index finger extended, while speaking. Around him stand several men in white dhotis and shirts, one in a pale yellow shirt seen from behind, one with a grey beard, and a young man in a white shirt on the right holding a white bag. Bare feet on the sandy ground, a covered walkway at left and garlands on a pillar at right. The centre man is a person by appearance cues: long swept hair, orange shawl and rudraksha mala, though the image is not clear enough to be certain.2009-12-16Outdoor photo at dusk of a group of men in front of trees and a thatched hut. In the foreground, a young man with long hair tied back wears an orange saffron robe and bare-shouldered orange wrap, and points forward with his right arm. Behind him, a line of men in white dhotis and white kurtas stand with hands folded, several wearing orange shawls and rudraksha or beaded malas. The scene suggests a ceremonial welcome, with a fence and bright pale sand on the ground.2007-12-07Outdoor photo at a whitewashed temple compound with a signboard reading a Sri Nithyanandeshwara Mandir and a second sign above a doorway. A man with long dark hair, wearing a white kurta, white dhoti and an orange-saffron shawl, stands barefoot on red earth pointing toward the building roof while three men in white and one in a pale yellow shirt stand around him, seen from behind. A devotee in white dress with a mala stands at the left edge, and a man in white stands at the right. Behind them is a small red-and-white stepped entrance with a figure in saffron near the doorway.2009-12-16A man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing an orange saffron shawl over a red sleeveless top, stands outdoors pointing his right index finger upward while holding a small white object in his left hand. Vertical banners with colourful geometric patterns and flowers hang on the wall behind him, and framed pictures are mounted above. Several seated children and adults in pink, white and cream clothing listen on the ground, and a man in orange stands at the left edge. A probable Swamiji is the central speaker, identified by long swept-back hair and saffron clothing with a shawl, and the page indicates he is at this event.2007-12-07Outdoor photo beside a grey concrete wall and young tree at a site visit. Center right, a man with long dark swept-back hair, a tilak on his forehead, black rudraksha mala and an orange-saffron shawl draped over bare shoulders stands facing left in conversation; this is a person appearance-based candidate, with distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads. Beside him, a man in white dhoti with gold border and a rudraksha mala stands with hands clasped. A younger man with a shaved head in a white dhoti stands behind them. On the left, a boy in a white T-shirt with a printed graphic, and several children and adults watch. On the far right, a man in white shirt and mala gestures with a pointing finger. Background shows a few trees and low houses.2012-04-02Outdoor photo of a procession on a dirt-and-paved courtyard at an ashram. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, a dark rudraksha mala and an orange saffron shawl over bare shoulders walks forward, with a person cue from his long hair, rudraksha mala and saffron wrap, though his face is not used for identification. Around him, devotees in white kurtas and dhotis wear orange shawls, a man at left wears an orange scarf over white, and a few wear yellow scarves and rudraksha malas. Behind them, white-clad people walk past a red-doored building, a row of stone statues, sandbags and dry logs. A man at right wears orange robes and gold bracelets.2010-07-21A photograph of a group standing under a shaded open structure with a white wall of lattice windows behind them. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, a dark rudraksha mala and a saffron-orange robe with a gold-edged wrap is speaking and gesturing with one hand; the saffron-clad figure is an appearance-based probable Swamiji (probable) and is present in person. To his left, a man in cream shirt and white dhoti points outward while speaking. To the far left, a woman in a white sari with an orange border and gold necklace stands with her hands clasped. On the right, a man in an orange robe with a red border and rudraksha mala stands with arms folded, and at the far right edge another man in a cream shirt and white dhoti is partly visible. Five people are visible.2008-08-03A photograph of an outdoor gathering with a man in the foreground wearing an orange saffron shawl, a long rudraksha mala with large beads, and a yellow-orange tilak on his forehead; his long, dark, swept-back hair falls to his shoulders and he holds his palms together in anjali. Behind him, devotees in white dhotis with gold borders and a man in a teal checked shirt stand with hands folded in prayer. Blurred orange and red structures and greenery form the background. The appearance of the foreground man, with long hair, saffron shawl and rudraksha mala, is a person candidate.2011-10-07A crowd of men at night in a dim setting. In the centre, a man with long dark hair and a white vertical tilak on his forehead wears an orange saffron garment and a necklace of large yellow-green beads, and gestures with his raised right hand. Around him, men wear white shirts and orange shawls, and one wears an orange-and-white garment with a visible lanyard. Several others stand close behind, some with white or orange clothing. The central man has distinctive long hair and saffron-coloured robes with a bead necklace, matching the Swamiji (probable) appearance cues.2008-08-02Outdoor photograph under a clear blue sky, shot from a low angle. A figure in an orange-saffron shawl and dhoti, with long dark hair, a vibhuti or kumkum mark on the forehead and a heavy gold necklace, stands raising one arm and pointing upward while smiling. Around him are people in white kurtas and white caps; one man on the left wears a white and orange head cloth and glasses, a woman in a white cap smiles behind, and a younger person stands at right. The figure's distinctive long hair, saffron clothing and gold ornaments match the page's account of Swamiji, so this is a probable identification from appearance cues, with the page noting his presence at this event.2006-01-05
